Honestly, not really. Just need to stack mana drains, MS effects and lots of healers. Run a 10 man team of ~4 healers, 2 hunters, rest warrior/rogue. Horde can really clean up with this if they have 2 priest, 2 shaman, 2 hunter, 2 warr, 2 rogue. Tons of healing reduction and mana drain effects going out. OOM the other team faster and keep MS effects up.
It’s not really skill it’s game knowledge.
Skill would be cc chains and setups. That doesn’t exist in classic, at all. SOD is an anomaly where you have insane burst meta or slow as molasses (current) meta.
A happy medium would be nice but -50% is not it. Maybe -30%?
im mad that healing has become easy enough that I just riptide and earthshield now. so ill just wait til i can gap other healers again after the weekend.
There’s an easy fix for this. All Alliance just auto run through BGs. Have everyone go 0 - 30 and make all BGs a 5 cap. Lets get in and lets get out. It’s called faux win trading.
The 12 year olds will eventually get bored of spending 500g on consumes just for PVPing target dummies that auto run, then they’ll quit the game. Then PVP will be a deserted wasteland just like Retail.
I am no dev, so dont shoot the messenger. Could a system of a flat resilience buff to everyone in pvp be a better option? All i know is that a flat 50% reduction to damage aint it.
As a shaman main I’ve loved the change, I’ve been winning a lot more fights against most of the classes that gave me a hard time before. Sounds like a skill issue tbh
I’m not complaining about not winning. After the damage nerf I can 1v2 players much easier. It takes longer but I can out heal damage without worry. That’s not the type of playstyle I like though. It’s boring and slow and feels live PvE. It’s a worse version of retail pvp.
The problem is that everything within SoD is one giant beta test. They don’t know what works and what doesn’t, and they throw it on the players to test things out in real time. Just like the incursions nonsense ruining the overworld, these pvp changes have bricked the other side.
