The 50% damage nerf obviously had mixed feelings across the player base during the testing period. A lot of priests rerolled disc because they felt shadow was underwhelming and the damage nerf probably just needed to be toned down a bit. The nerf allowed for longer fights which allows for more skill to be involved to kill opposing players. Rather than experiencing “one shot” situations of very quick kills before the option to react accordingly.
Class balance without the nerf is very clear. Shamans continue to out perform in damage, healing and utility. As a rogue, I can stun lock a shaman to 10% hp all for him to turn around and kill me before I can damage him for the remaining 10%. Lava burst continues to hit for 2k+ and proc often. If a damage nerf is reinstated, it would be nice to have it toned down so group fights are not as long and healing does not feel overtuned/absolutely necessary to kill an opposing team which has healers.
Shamans are still OP in there damage, procs, utility, etc.
Additionally, an increased damage debuff to flag carriers in WSG would be nice. With the damage debuff, ferals were almost unkillable without a group. Also, those jumps ontop of WSG tunnels and up the mountains are lame as hell.
Lmao in what world was this true? I have a priest and a rogue and on my rogue I was regularly handling disc priests solo no problem. Did you just forget that you have wound poison, cheap shot, kidney shot, and kick?
Resto and Ele are definitely not OP. They both need to be ignored to shine. Even with the changes to the burn rune Ele still suffers from being a 20yd range caster with no spell pushback.
My leader was telling me hes basically an immortal god in PVP during the damage reduction. I didn’t participate much since Mage was gutted and would go oom before killing someone if I was below 60% mana when I engaged. Assuming they have no self heals.
But yes I trust him over bias forum dwellers.
Do you guys do LC or something where you have to praise him to brain damaged degree to get loot or something? This guy tells you he’s a god and could take on 5 rogues and you believe it somehow just makes you look even more pathetic lol.
We do, But I the one mostly in charge of the LC. So no its not sucking up to him. Also I think we’re both received the least amount of loot in the raid lol.
I think I have only received the quest ring from raid so far.
A disc priest can’t stop 5 rouges. They can handle one rouge. Two rouges, maybe until help arrives and if they have all of their CD’s. To really handle a rouge, you must have dispersion and trinket not on CD.
Something needs to be done about Shaman’s offensive dispel. They shouldn’t have it. And mana regen shouldn’t be any more than paladins.
Guess it depends on the quality of the one or two rogues because I never had a problem with them, but then again like I said I play both sides of the coin. A bad rogue isn’t going to look for penance to kick (since there is no cast bar) or they’ll blow their kidney shot before a priest uses dispersion and even worse ones wouldn’t even use wound poison when heals became stronger.
Must just be some odd love affair then, really strange this pedestal you’ve put him on. In p1 we definitely were that strong, but this damage reduction weekend? Nah, now there are way more ways to combat healing and they nerfed POM/penance like 3 times where before it was insanely OP able to heal a person to full in just 2 ticks of it even. Maybe he just mixed up the phases.
Lol, Yeah like I said bias forum dweller. Anyone who thinks healing in general during damage reduction wasn’t overtuned Is the epitome of Bias. And priest was the best healer out of all of them.
Ele shamans were not too bad to deal with with the dmg nerf, but they still heal a lot. Without the damage nerf, they can one shot you without a cast bar
I accept your concession and defeat. This was fun, the guy claiming I have bias that never actually pvp’d during the damage reduction and doesn’t even have a priest that adores his lying GL for some reason can’t argue, no surprise.
I played for a few hours with my buds on a rogue and my priest. I wasn’t a god. You are correct. I died two times. Two times. Both times on my priest in the same game. Folks finally caught me without a peel (f-er went to KO their heals) and their entire team swapped onto me. Basically the only time I died was when we took a stupid risk.
This was sorta fun for a while, but I got bored AF. I like to feel pushed otherwise I literally get sleepy. I needed a nap after Saturday’s runs.
