why are you punished for taking a gathering profession in pve? makes no sense. just remove these from the game.
I agree, everyone should reroll off of Herbalism, just leave all those stupid plants on the ground they are probably not worth any gold at all. Just leave them out there for old caboose to grab. Ill keep the streets, hills and valleys clean of nasty old herbs.
Season of Gates. They literally just gate everything. I hate this jebait crap, no reason to do anything but grind honor. The raids are all a waste of time and the world events are all a waste of time.
It’s all obsolete when the next Phase comes.
Yeah I wish they let you get 1 gathering profession as a secondary profession.
My favorite part of 2019 classic was world pvping over resources in the open world. Nobody wants to give up a profession that gives them cool items and player power in a game about collecting cool items to permanently gimp their main character for the equivalent of a minimum wage job inside World of Warcraft. I’ve tried gathering on my poopy alts with bad gear and no engineering and you just get bullied in the open world.
Sooo … making gold is punishment?
The gatherers gather and the min/max players buy which then makes the gatherers make gold.
Rocket science.
Seems like a personal problem. Make an alt that exclusively gathers like everyone else and put two good professions on your main.
sure. nothing wrong with voicing my opinion though. this is a forum afterall.
basically i just don’t like that player power is more tied to professions than it was before. it used to be engineering was the only “required” profession if you were a tryhard, and the 2nd slot was free for anything you wanted to make gold. ofc you can still pick any professions you want, but it feels bad to have to choose. (or make an alt just for gathering like you said).
at the very least i think gathering professions should get the pity perks that they recieved in tbc or wrath where you get some passive crit or stam or whatever.
Oof, why would anyone want to grind honor?
think that’s my plan for 60. just gonna go engineering and mining parses be damned. mining silithid caves vs other rogues is too much fun.
I mean if by punish you mean losing 1 AGI over the engineering bracers I guess you have a point
I dropped engineering for skinning and didn’t regret it though
Skinning is probably the most satisfying profession.
I’m running mining / engi right now and was tempted to drop mining for BS. Then I realized I was talking crazy considering I don’t run another profession alt.
I just remember the money I made as a miner doing jump runs. That and picking plaguebloom in EPL kept me afloat financially. And GDKP, which I’ve confessed to and have since given my life to Christ.
It’s literally not worth the time to gather, when there are multiple others ways to make gold just farming mobs. You make more farming ogres for voracity then you can ever make from gathering.
sorry wasn’t clear in the op. was more referring to the new bonuses from other professions- lw/tailoring/bs for bis gear, and alchemy/enchanting for flat ap/sp bonuses. engineering has been the one “meta” profession in vanilla since forever. and i think it’s better if it stayed like that vs the direction they went.
It is really stupid. They should have implemented a bonus for the gathering classes as well. As of right now it’s basically just a slow gold farm. They could have easily given something along the lines of an epic trinket that gives even just like +X to all stats based on phase. Or a selection of a few to craft with different bonuses. They don’t have to be crazy but they would have to be better then currently available trinkets. I would also like to see the pvp trinket add some stat modifiers to it as well. Like stamina for sure.
