SoD Phase 2 is P2W

Why the epic crafting recipes and materials are time gated and locked behind gold ?
It just tells me that trying a new class during SOD cost 2-300 gold to play them + mount costs.
Banning GDKP while pushing players to just buy gold or swap gold instead through this kind of systems.
For example STV PvP event rewards playing the game (more you play it, the faster you get the rewards) where crafting phase 2 rewards by just having gold (P2W).
Very disappointing design way worse than phase 1.

Who could have seen this coming

Considering you only have a 3 post history, it obviously wasn’t you, but I’d be curious if the same people who like to say GDKP is the root of all gold buying are now going to say this sort of thing.

Well, not so curious really. I feel like some people just really like complaining, and that has had an overall negative impact on the game over the years, because sometimes Blizzard listens, but the complaints aren’t meaningful.

Anyone with a functional brain knew that banning GDKP did literally nothing to combat gold buying/selling.

Pushing people to buy gold? how spoiled are you to come up with this? making gold in-game is easy.

Every day I think about how I can make money in my daily life.

Every day in wow I have to think about how I can make gold in my daily wow life.

The immersion is unreal

You can get that from just questing to 40, though. Not hard.

Show us your gold.

Banning gdkp’s is the ‘dev teams’ attempt to distract players from the blatant botting still going on and how someone on the ‘dev team’ obviously profits from it.
Nothing more.

Your brain is so warped that you think 200-300 gold is too much for a character.

Instead of thinking “How can I farm gold” and coming up with a strategy, you immediately think “getting gold from gold buyers or buying gold myself is the only way”.

You are the problem with this game. Not the GDKP ban.

That depends entirely on your time and priorities within the game, creating gold time gates to remove the bought gold from the economy in this case was the wrong thing to do, some people only farm enough for raid consumables and to get by, not feeling the need to have more.

So far the dev team for SOD is dropping supersizes on people that aren’t fun.

claiming characters lol

Banning GDKPs was still the right move and have nothing to do with brain dead dev decisions to price gouge p2 items to try and absorb some of the gold in the economy. One can be right, and one can be wrong, they aren’t mutually inclusive and to suggest they are is disingenuous at best and deliberately dishonest at worse.

Literally no one is saying that, except GDKPers as a “gotcha”. There were other secondary and tertiary effects on the economy from GDKP, besides rmt, that have been explained as nauseum on these forums and people like you keep reverting back to this argument. These effects are already going away. The ban was a success.

The issue of devs price gouging is separate and we can all (probably) agree that it was the wrong move on their part and -could- incentivize people to buy gold.

Anyone with half a brain knew that wasn’t the only reason to ban GDKP.

I was hoping this thread was going to be a meme about Priest 2 Win

unfortunately, it’s not
 it’s just dumb.

I’m so sad now.

Are they really locked behind gold though?

I started mine and it looks like I can get everything without spending gold.

Yea banning gdkps to make more gold buyers was definitely the right move.

G2g living their best life.

Again, not mutually inclusive. Banning GDKPs did exactly what it was supposed to.

Price gouging bis items and mounts -could- incentivize people to buy gold.

The same people who would buy gold for these patterns/their mount are the SAME ones who would buy gold to be competitive in GDKP. Your argument SUCKS.

How are GDKPs not connected to RMT?
