Battleground matchmaking: F tier. The new BG matchmaking system has potential, but queue times for solo and group players are crazy high. Fix this by actually combining these queues after 5 minutes.
PVP Balance: F tier. Fix the game, no further comment.
STV Event: F tier. It’s bad. Rewards are terrible for most classes, the event is not well designed, it’s not fun, and it’s not good.
Gnomer: Fun enough whatever
Summary: Leave the bad events, itemization, balance and whatever is going on in retail. Put some effort and time into making the game good before you lose everyone. Thanks!

I already gave away all my gold just a few hours ago. SoD lost me, blizz don’t give a crap about us. I would put serious money on the people in charge of developing SoD have never even played classic before or if they have are so out of touch with the game that they think retail is what people want when they play classic. STOP LISTENING TO THE VOCAL MINORITY THEY ARE IDIOTS.

Phase 1 was fine, take away 80% of the runes and it would have maintained the classic feel for the most part. Phase 2 utterly destroyed my faith in Blizzard’s ability to do anything related to classic+

It’s sad, I gave a perfect classic+ description months ago. Same as vanilla, but add some new world bosses, an incentize to queue battlegrounds, rating rewards etc. Change loot and add 2-3 core abilities that vanilla classes miss. Bam, they do this and kill the entire game

I could go on to list everything, but just remove the rose-tinted glasses and you’ll see this is no longer classic+ this is a mish-mash of retail thrown into classic.

It’s even more simple than that. All they needed to do was give every class 1-2 new abilities, make things a little more interesting and work on abandoned zones/dungeons. That’s it. Maybe fix the honor system as it creates a very unhealthy lifestyle.

Oh, 100%. That was evident pretty early on, I think. It’s like they are trying to give as much Retail as they can to Classic players and as much Classic as they can to Retail players.
I’ve been saying for quite a while that I don’t think it’s a good idea to have all the game versions converge towards the same thing, while catering to the same player base, but that seems exactly like what they are doing.
I’m still having fun in SoD though. I’m disappointed that they decided to cater to the throwers/exploiters in BGs, but at least the STV PVP event is pretty solid.
No one is queuing yet. And solo queues were fine for wsg, and will be fine for ab. No one likes playing in premades. And those that do aren’t entitled to pugs.
I mean after seeing STV’s blood moon event… yes, yes they are.

I think that’s what’s annoying me personally. Like all u had 2 do was fill in a few holes witu classes and specs but sod actually revolves entirely around rune abilities instead of runes supplementing specs and classes (what I thought it wud be)
Spriests in pvp were always considered heavy livelords and a rot down class. Now you just swd people for 80% of their hp lol

That’s fine but the devs aren’t the same and the abilities don’t work the exact same. So blaming sod being bad because everyone seems to think retail is bad is funny. Just admit they goofed on a lot of things in sod. I’m having a blast. This phase is chaotically fun lol
