I haven’t seen this posted before, so I’m raising the flag here.
The talent Nightfall on the Affliction tree doesn’t affect Shadow bolt (or rahter shadow cleave) when in Metamorphosis form.
Hope this gets fixed on Phase 2.
It may be a bug but also would make sense if it wasn’t.
Nightfall makes your next Shadow Bolt instant cast. Shadow Bolt becomes Shadow Cleave which is already instant cast.
Making an instant cast instant cast doesn’t really make sense.
Sure you could theoretically proc it with Shadow Cleave, leave Metamorphosis form then cast Shadow Bolt. But I don’t think going in and out of form is their design plan with the rune.

Precisely, doesn’t make sense for it to make Warlocks go in and out of Metamorphosis.
Additionally, Shadowcleave has a 6 sec CD. It would work perfectly by reducing the CD by 3 secs or something.

Apparently this bug hasn’t been fixed yet .
There’s no mention of “Shadow Cleave” in the Nightfall talent description. It’s not a bug.
Metamorphosis: transforms the Warlock,…transforming the functionality of some of your abilities…
Shadow Bolt: Becomes Shadow Cleave.
Actually, Improved shadowbolt affects Shadow cleave.
I would agree if Shadowbolt and Shadow cleave were two different abilities, but they are not. Shadow bolt transforms in shadow Cleave.
