Turned in my Hypnotic gem and wild essence wand while Jixo Madrocket was standing out there dazed from previous turn in. He gave me the next quest to watch him but did not move. Watching someone elses turn in does not count either. No Rune no quest items.

Any fix? I seem to be bugged. Logged out, and back in, and still the same

I was able to abandon and it let me pick up from him at the hut again. It kept my progress but I had already refarmed the mats (did not need to).

This happens if you pick up the quest while he’s in the middle of the forest area.
His position there indicates another player had just finished the quest and he has not yet reset to the hut position.
Abandon and take the quest again while he’s at the hut, you will not need to re-farm the items.
