I dunno, I’m looking forward to P4. The phase is too long for my taste but it is what it is.
We paid to play a game that was really good and then quickly made extremely bad.
Just knowing that it could have been good is sad.

we disagree sometimes on the amount of changes, but we can both agree P1 was BiS and rune changes could/should have been more minimal than it is

like yeah obviously p1 level bracket had people locked on skills and talents, but a few minor rune changes throughout the phases could have been fine.
it isn’t retail-, retail has its faults but retail gameplay is far better than this hodgepodge of nonsense. retail is a lobby game, I’ll admit that and don’t like that fact. but it is a million times better than what SoD has become, and I’ve had the most fun I’ve had playing WoW in a long time for a lot of SoD. the writing was on the wall in p2, I wanted to stay optimistic. I’m going to try first week of P4 when we can actually do stuff live, and maybe after some changes. but for what it is right now, I’m not hyped.
They made the choice to try and balance vanilla to retail standards but tied the devs hands behind their backs by not giving SoD a proper client and forcing the servers to maintain parity with era.
Put simply, they had to balance every class and spec plus a few new ones using only runes, instead of simple and elegant ability/talent changes to bring lower perfoming specs up.

Game sucks.
yea idk. people just like to hate on something to hate. or follow the “norm” of a narrative. its literally a seasonal server meant for testing with a very small team with prolly not that much support from higher ups in blizz. and not to mention alot of this stuff has never been implemented into classic b4. personally i think they have done an amazing job. the only thing that blows is raids being super mind numbing ez. even w pvp is not that bad. people just dont know how to play vs better classes, and dont use consumes or anything else in the game at the disposal to win a fight.
