SoD Feels like retail where they Overbuff/Overnerf On purpose so you keep re rolling/gearing

Anyone catching on to the Hamster wheel strategy they have used for many many years on retail to keep people subbed by re rolling fotm and re gearing?

Hunters were giga over powered in pve mostly and some in pvp and literally everyone had a hunter…

I would bet my life savings they will do this to 1 or 2 more OP classes and then re balanced to make something else GIGA op so everyone FOTM rerolls

Rinse/repeat.

Or you could just not be a FotM chaser and play what you enjoy.

I don’t you clown my main is Druid.

I have many alts because there is nothing else to do rn.

Man, the concept of comparing the game to retail really has lost all meaning with how much people will call literally anything they don’t like “just like retail”

I am not comparing the game to retail. Do you even understand the concept that they use?

I mean every rune IS LITERALLY from retail but i was not making a game comparison. I am talking specifically about the strategy they use to stretch out long down time periods of no development.

Your title literally says “SoD feels like retail”

And then there is a whole body of words for you to read that explains what I am talking about.

Wheres the spongebob meme “Maaaaagggiiic”

lol some of you crack me up

But if you do want to compare the two games about how 1 is becoming like the other I am pretty confident you would lose that argument.

The backpedaling is genuinely impressive

“I’m not comparing it to retail!”

“Your title is literally doing that.”

“Yeah and then I explain WHY I’m doing that shut up!”

I pvp I don’t back peddle.

I could help you with reading comprehension if you would like?

You’re talking about game play and mechanics. I was not comparing game play and mechanics. You obviously know this because you’re a low iq troll, but well done.

There is way too much retail theme park ride foundation in how gearing works. The runes and class changes are great tho. Love the wpvp events too, even tho they’re buggy and not quite fleshed out all the way yet. But the retail gear progression process is pushing me out of the game just like it does when I try retail.

I would love the wpvp events if there was any… You know… pvp…

Zerg down pve bosses on your side of the map and you don’t even get to buy any pvp gear lol

You get a helm only useable in wsg

Sod is 100% for the pve people

At no point have I even mentioned “game play and mechanics”.

Yeah, they’re definitely far from being where they need to be. But they can be fun none-the-less. Have been some fun pvp moments for me. Should only get better as they learn from it.

One of the biggest problems tho is you can’t really compete in pvp without raiding every 3 days. Which brings me back to the retail gear progression philosophy that SoD seems to be stricken with. That is to say, regarding pvp as a side novelty for raiders only. Not how classic works.

It is 100% what you’re talking about because you said

Which I clearly state in THE TITLE of the thread that I am specifically talking about the buffs and nerfs hamster strategy.

Very clearly in the title.

I am not sure why you’re creating an argument that made zero sense from the start but if you enjoy getting smacked around in game and out more power to you.

So your argument is that if you say buffs and nerfs are in regards to comparing the 2 wow versions then every single other game in the history of gaming are the same lol

Get off the forums child

SoD feels like classic with a few new abilities and role/class combos. Still has that great classic feel imo.

I dont feel the retail at all, nor do I feel like blizz is doing this on purpose. If anything it’s to try to stop people from all rolling FOTM/OP hunters - because people will and are. A much needed nerf. If you think this is being done on purpose when there was literally no testing/ptr then you need a break probably.

The only thing making it feel like retail Id have to say would be rando cringe lords asking for pure BIS/specific classes for BFD runs in season of memespecs. Super cringe.

Anyways OP seems to just want to argue with people so, have fun my guy.

I didn’t get rep for the first 4 or 5 days. I have not received any from those games either so it was clearly broken for a lot of us.

Most pvp’rs don’t find stacking 10 raids on top of eachother at a pve boss very fun fyi… Classic world pvp happening organically is 100000x better and they still have not learned that valuable lesson.

Stop forcing pve on pvp’rs
Stop trying to Force pvp with pve mechanics

So leave and find something else to do that’s your only option. Demanding changes is not. End of story

Nothing in what you quoted specifies “game play and mechanics”. I’m sorry, do you actually know how to read?

So says the person throwing a tantrum over someone pointing out their silly logic

It still feels like classic right now. But those “few” abilities are literally pulled from retail. Every single one. Nothing is new in SOD outside of some mechanics changed in BFD to become a raid.

Classic fresh with meme specs fixed and mana issues addressed would have been much better imo. Turtle wow over turtle ascension. They chose the wrong version to steal.

But they can still save it I believe.

Then why did you comment at all? Because nothing you said makes any sense if you’re arguining that I am comparing the 2 games because I wasn’t. Its literally in the title and then the body below it??? Are you on drugs?

I literally said the buffs and nerfs and then specifically stated that I was talking about a disgusting strategy they use to keep people re rolling and re gearing. This is zero to do with comparing the 2 games and how a like they are or are not.

Nothing you’re saying makes any sense and you’re just on repeat now which is generally what people do when they lose an argument.

Id say stop comparing the 2 and let them both be different games.

If you dont like SoD there are literally 3-4 other wow modes to enjoy. ( classic/wrath, hardcore, retail )

Id say get over it because you are upset about something, but I know you wont. Good Luck with whatever you are thinking this post will accomplish.
