[SoD] Enhancement Shaman Two-handed or Dual Wield?

I do not mind the idea of Dual Wield being an alternative way to play Enhancement but the fantasy of a totemic warrior that swings around a giant weapon, supported by elemental magic, devastating enemies with huge hog Windfury attacks, is why I like Classic Enhancement.

Some example abilities I would like to see as runes:

  • Maelstrom Weapon that works well with slow attack speeds.
  • Unleash Elements could interact nicely with two-handed Windfury, one-handed Rockbiter for tank Enhancement, or dual wielding.
  • An alternate version of Lava Lash that works even with a two-handed weapon. Perhaps it could enhance your current weapon enchant causing Flametongue attacks to increase fire damage taken, Windfury attacks to deal fire damage, and your melee attacks to convert to fire damage with Rockbiter.

At the end of the day I would like to see the existing two-handed play style of Enhancement enhanced and it could be there are ways Blizzard is already planning to do this, but I just wanted to voice my opinion.

I couldn’t agree more. I have no idea why dual wield is forced when shamans can utilize spells and melee similar to a death knight. When in fact death knights have a dual wield and two hander utilization. Even warriors can use two one handers, dual two handers, lol. Hunters can use a two hander in survival now, but it only took that long to happen.

Enhance should have a option with a talent or what have you. If they can modify spells or use runes in SoD there’s no reason it can’t work. Even in retail I might add.
