SoD dying and becoming Classic?

Beta proves you are just talking with your lower cheeks lol

The fact they haven’t nerfed Shaman yet is basically them throwing in the towel, best to find a non-Blizzard product ASAP unless you are a masochist and love getting spit on.

why do you think form the beginning they’ve been conditioning you with future expansion abilities?

This all leads to funneling everything back into one project and thats retail.

If it helps, this isn’t happening.

Rather, the actual reality of the situation is that the same Development Team is working on Progressive Classic, Classic Era, Hardcore Classic, and SoD all at the same time.

No devs are being moved from SoD over to Cata Classic, because the same devs that are developing SoD have been developing 2019 Classic, TBC Classic, Wotlk Classic, and now Cata Classic this entire time.

Basically, SoD was their side project they made while they were between Wotlk and Cata. Hopefully we get some love soon, but the fact of the matter is that we were never any developer’s main priority.

What game are you playing?

I mean, I known that I’m not THAT much above average.

they arent removing anything. it has been the same team all along for SoD, WotLK, Hardcore, and even Cata. It is all the WoW Classic team.

All the complaints are because the same balance that exists now is different than it was in Classic lol

Idk if it’s confirmed but if they’re pulling devs to Cata from SoD that’s really disappointing.

I’m no longer the target audience for retail and I have little desire to play classic, I came back to WoW after a couple year hiatus specifically for SoD and have really been enjoying it. Would be nice to see continued support and increased content for it.

this :expressionless: classic players and retail players, we are BOTH victims.

SOD was a Blizzard Psyop to get PvPers back to retail. The state of P2 PvP and how fun and decently made Plunderstorm is is even more proof.

He recently said they were going to announce phase 3 stuff soon so it doesn’t seem like they’ve abandoned it yet. I wouldn’t blame them for reducing resources in SoD though after seeing phase 2 tank so quickly. If phase 3 fails to be popular I wouldn’t expect much for the rest of SoD.

I’ve seen almost entirely negative responses to Plunderstorm. I think it’s widely hated in its current state.

Of course some things will be broken, youre importing a patch from 10 years ago into todays framework.

You obviously didnt read my post. They arent building anything new, as in new raids , dungeons, lands, etc etc.

Import > fix the updates to modern framework > Ensure the store works > Call it a day.

No, just enjoy the game.

Too late already quit, p2 was byfar the most obviously rushed least effort phase of all wow, absolute disgrace let them go out of business. We are already over paying for this 20 year old mmo but now they want to no effort it and still charge 15$? Go out of business do the world a favour

Since this post I have been brought along for two gnomer runs and the only somewhat interesting fight was the many bots before mechatorque. I was right, gnomer isn’t anything to be excited about

If you were never into Classic then you shouldn’t be on SoD either.

if it wasnt for sod they would of lost a big amount of their playerbase

" It almost sounds like they used SoD to lure people back to WoW that weren’t interested in Classic and now they may be killing it by slowly transforming it into Classic."

Funny that? Cata is only a month away?? Good timing right.

I think people will go back to SoD after some months of Cataclysm. Probably the majority of the people that remain on SoD are some people who backlash on Cata, people who don’t have a good PC to run Cataclysm, or just because they can’t abandon their characters.
