After the first 2 months of SoD I’m certain this is my favorite iteration of wow, especially after reading the data mined patch notes. I’ve always wanted the open world of classic wow and pretty much everything that goes with it but with modern class design (all though no homogenization)
I really really hope they make the world and pve in general really tough, like dark souls tough, obv have to due to power spikes with gear/spells, but I hope they go a step further
I hope blizzard realizes after hardcore success and the fact that the games been around for 20 years that players want increased difficulty.
World
In the form of tougher random world mobs with unique spells, increased hp/dmg/xp. Maybe the ai behaving more like how they designed them in bfa islands?
**Dungeons **
Maybe 3 or 4x the difficulty increase in dungeons for 2x as much xp/gold as an option. Would decrease bots performance.
I really liked the introduction of another reputation faction, one that you can grind since low level. I do think they made rep gains a bit too easy though.
I do hope for more factions to pop to grind rep with for various rewards.
I guess if you just looked at raiding you could say that. Pretty sure but not positive they already increased the difficulty of everything in consideration to the new spells and gear in phase 1. But yeah that’s what I’m worried about. I hope the content isn’t too easy in respect to our power spikes
I feel like BFD gets a bed reputation for being easy. That’s just because we all know the fights and are all mostly geared enough to make it easy. I did it on the first lock out, we got stopped at Kelris, because we didn’t know about shadow pots and FAPs. It was much harder than what I expected for a level 25 raid.
Yeah sorry but Blizzard has gone on record saying that they have no intentions of making SoD difficult. The game will continue to be as braindead easy as it currently is at least where PvE is concerned. If you’re looking for a challenge, PvP might be your best bet.
BFD was kinda rough the first lockout but it was definitely still on the easy side during that time.
The biggest thing that makes BFD super easy is the fact that the trash is so squishy and does zero damage. The bosses are always kinda easy in vanilla (except a few) but the trash is always almost as dangerous as the bosses. Have you ever seen a single player die to trash in BFD? Let alone a whole raid wipe?
It is a total joke - the trash is the same as BFD 5-man but now you have 10 people.
