SoD is something else… I’m going to speak of issues that have made the game really frustrating for me as a Rogue player. I’m sure other classes have other complaints but it feels like the SoD devs really don’t even try.
Mages that can heal, warlocks that don’t die, Boomkins that literally 1 shot you, Shamans that kill you while they’re AFK.
I don’t care how small your SoD team is, you need to balance basic PvP. It’s not fun playing a rogue that has literally 0 new abilities and some of the ones we have are so bad I don’t even know where to begin.
For instance, why is Shadowstep on the GCD? I can’t even shadowstep kick something something. Yet, you gave warlocks an immolation aura that they just turn on and voila you can never sap or open on them no matter how well you time the ticks, it doesn’t cost them HP or mana, they just turn it on and AFK.
They just sit on a flag in AB and you can’t do anything about it.
Why is there no alternative rune for chest piece for rogues for PvP? Deadly brew is the only decent one but it doesn’t interact well with rogue PvP at all, I sap someone, it procs crippling poison which procs deadly poison and breaks my sap.
Also, it’s either envenom or between the eyes for the legs? Envenom is god awful in PvP because you never get 5 deadly stacks and Between the eyes is just a ranged Kidney that does superficial damage. That’s the best you could come up with?
Why can’t you just nerf certain abilities in PvP like you do in retail by specifically lowering its damage in PvP cases? Nerf Lightning Shield, doesn’t take much.
PvP is just in a very sad state, classes like warriors and rogues got nothing but retail spells and even then, gimped, watered down versions of them while other classes are completely revamped and frankly some are ridiculous.
Like how come Rogues don’t have cloak of shadows? You didn’t think that would be a useful ability to have when everyone has 3 dots/5 ways to break your stealth/ etc…
Also, doesn’t help that you buff the HP of every player in BG’s which render rogues even less viable since everyone’s HP is inflated but my damage remains the same? Can we stop inflating HP in BG’s? That just makes certain classes better and other classes weaker b y default.
I can go on and on but you’re obviously aware of this but why do you do nothing about it?
There’s really very little thought put into PvP and even this new raid in ST.
For instance, 10 man raids were great and easy to pug and now you release a 20 man raid that takes 4 hours to clear and I can’t find a guild to raid with because I raid at off times and it’s impossible to pug this raid because you can’t find 20 people who raid at off times and who will randomly pug it instead of running it with their guild.
SoD is either classic + or its retail. Changes have been made. Accept it and move the game forward. No rogue enjoys putting 3 pts into Improved Sap for 90% chance only to have it break you out of stealth in important scenarios. - Just make it 100%, will that break the game?
Revamp talents and abilities, streamline things. I don’t understand there are so many basic things you can fix to make the game better instead of just adding runes every Phase of which the majority are useless and makes the game hella unfun to level a new class if I have to repeat the same grinding and tedious process for any rune I need not to mention spend tons of gold.
It was fine at 25 and 40 because there weren’t many runes and they were designed for mountless and broke players. As the game progresses there are too many runes which all require unique and tedious ways to unlock them.
Not to mention SoD economy got ruined by the devs inability to do basic math for incursions.
If your team is too small then make it bigger. It’s sad to hear such excuses from a multi billion dollar corporation. Like oh poor you, you’d rather not hire the extra 50 people so your shareholders can make a few extra bucks instead of making the game good.
