We raided Sunken Temple last night and our Rogue Tank was being one shot. When reviewing the logs it appeared that Shade of Eranikus was still using the Thrash ability, causing over 4,500 damage in an instant. My understanding was that this was a bug that had been fixed (or was going to be fixed). If not, then we’ll need to use a tank with a higher base health pool just to absorb the hits. The following is a transcript from WarcraftLogs:
00:41.350 - SoE → Melee → Tank → 1715 damage
00:41.899 - SoE → Melee → Tank → 2001 damage
00:41.899 - SoE → Melee → Tank → 1797 damage
Total of 5,513 HP in less than half a second.
Either way, bringing it to your attention for review. Thank you.

Wait until your rogue tank gets one shot by a hateful strike from patchwerk

Yeah, we were fairly unlucky. We got 8 attempts in and 4 of the wipes were due to the tank being one shot. Going back in on Thursday we obviously can’t use the same tank for that role until this is fixed (if it is even a bug) - but maybe others are having similar issues and will need to swap out their rogue tanks for the fight too.

Even in full plate I don’t think I could survive that damage unless I had Shield Wall up. If they don’t have evasion up for Thrash, I’m not sure how they’d survive it either. Hopefully Blizz takes a look at this.

Our tanks had the same issue on prog yesterday (4/10/24).
Three melees within milliseconds of another, while hotted by druid and priest. Hopefully they actually fix this issue or at least give us clarity of how to avoid it.

When did they ever say thrash was removed?
This is where players were getting information about Thrash not being used, however on Wowhead it is still listed as an ability used by the boss.
So a wowhead article saying thrash is nerfed based on reports from players on reddit? No wonder I didn’t see a blue post.
