SOD been doing great so far, but no dual spec in P2 is the definition of dropping the ball

Not having dual spec in P2 is a massive mismanagement of an amazing win that has been SOD. It’s basically the equivalent of having a boss tell you you’re doing amazing, and they’d like to offer you a raise, and then you say “Nah actually I think I will decline that raise and start doing just ‘okay’ from now on”

Dual Spec isn’t needed. Phase 2 looks fine.

I’m sad not to see it added, but it’s not quite so dramatic as that.

I don’t like that it’ll be more BS to switch between enh and ele for content (making it not really viable for a dungeon-to-dungeon shift) but it’s still manageable.

Especially if they keep respecs cheap.
(If they start spiking them up to era levels, then ya, I’ll be pretty annoyed.)

Dual Spec is useless. Go to a capital city. It’s not a big deal at all.

Would be much better if you could only change runes at a class trainer as well.

Imagine having a seasonal realm all about having people have fun and test new builds, even introduce new class roles but being able to swap specs freely is too far?

Lmao what…

Did they explicitly state it won’t be in Phase 2? If not…you never know.

You can respec at 10% of the cost. Be glad you got that.

if the price for unlearn talent still 50s, i dont think they need to add dual spec at p2. back then at lvl 60 unlearn talent cap for 50g so it wise if they add dual spec later at lvl 60

They did, in an interview with Scottyjaye

Yes. They said it may come later, but it definitely won’t be in P2. It was during one of Clayton Jones’ speaking segments in Scottejaye’s interview.

They said in a interview not in p2 but heavily implied it will be coming

Zero desire to see dual spec, so don’t see this as dropping the ball, but instead making sound decisions on the direction of SoD.

agreed the lack of dual spec is such a massive L for blizzard. especially with lvl 40 letting many classes operate with the power of a fully unlocked spec tree.

How is this better? I change runes all the time during raid on my shamy tank, this would just make my character being worse.

It is better for the same reason having a single spec is better. You fulfill one skillset at a time. Changing runes before pull is lame. Power without opportunity cost is boring.

Nope. That’s what Era is for.

Nope. SoD isn’t FFVII with the cheats on.

Excuse me when I find this extremely narrow minded. If the whole point is discovery and better QoL, there is no reason to gatekeep that.

I have played WOW on release, I don’t know anything about retail, I am all in for the nostalgia and the original essence of WOW as a social and immersive gameplay.

Yet I find gatekeeping on those topic because it is lame absurd… There were a lot of things wrong with vanilla when it released, and they fixed a bunch of them before going too far with LFR, WOW token, and the like.

You are not against a respec cost capped at 1g, are you? You are not against a revised loot table for casters, are you? You are not against runes, are you? None of those were there in vanilla.

Honestly I was kinda’ hoping to be able to hot swap between Prot and Ret specs. Would of been fun.

That is a terrible example, you can change your equipment and materias between every pull in FFVII, hell, you can even change your comp before most boss fights as well.
