Why do I have to be a slave to the weekly vault to enjoy this game?
I’m not going to argue against Conquest points/Valor points being capped or hightened ILVLs from vault being obtained with good RNG, I’m not fully against the reason why.
I mainly care about gearing in PVP so I’d prioritize gaining sockets for that PVP gear, but the fact that this is so, I’ll need additional weeks to socket my PVE gear???
How many weeks of constant vault capping am I supposed to do in a season?
It’s simply a chore it’s not engaging at all, it’s just a plain frustration.
This also makes alts less fun, sockets are just less fun, it’s not fun to get engaged in WoW now because of sockets.
-----------------------EDIT
I’m just leaving this here not really here to discuss or hang out with the forum trolls:
Feel free to leave your opinion about sockets and perhaps someone from Blizzard will one day care about it.
Maybe I’m wrong about sockets and it’s great for the game? I don’t think so I think it makes me not want to play the game cuz I’m so very frustrated at sockets it’s unbelievable how annoying sockets have been throughout WoW history.
I’d rather farm 1 million gold to BUY a socket with my two hands pressing dragonflying around mining nodes than have to deal with the hopeless imprisonment of needing to WAIT 4+weeks on my freshly made alts or my main to have that level of gear that I want.
I didn’t mind how gear progression was in for example BFA when all you did was literally cap every week to get better gear that was alot worse in a way but nowadays we live in this reality where the conquest cap is removed mid season and you can fully gear in A DAY so the only thing that you are waiting for always, is sockets.
It’s the most miniscule frustrating reward ever.
Being fully geared playing arena waiting for a tiny upgrade every week for no reason at all but some assumed dopamine kick that Blizzard is supplying. Thanks but I don’t need anymore dopamine kicks from this game, I love this game for many more reasons like transmogs or just enjoying the experience of it. I don’t need the weekly socket fix to enjoy.
I don’t take you seriously what’s your problem?
I didn’t make this post to get undermined by some forum troll that wants to be rude randomly.
How about instead of being bland and negative without any informed ideals you’d bring your opinion or reason to why the current way of socket acquisition is a good thing, compared to my stance that it’s a bad thing. ?
im not being rude, just that sockets really arent such a big deal that theyre life ruining
just like the majority of gear acquisition in wow its rng with a deterministic backup system. theyre extra nice this xpac since you can put 3 sockets in a neck piece with ah items
i cant think of a season where i didnt end with everything socketed because the great vault giveth and it very very often giveth duplicates
the deterministic backup system should also contain sockets, thanks for the reply
i’ll leave now and hope that blizzard one day unruins my life, thank you very much
Yeah just buy a socket item on a dud vault reward week. Those weeks will happen. Or if you plan ahead and budget properly, grab a socketed BoE from the new tier.
Tuesday was the 1st vault of the season. Also if you’re posting something that you know is going to be picked apart, one might say the troll is you all along.
Why post in a forum if you’re not interested in chatting with them? This ain’t an echo chamber.
Sockets make a difference but not nearly as much as you’re thinking they do. If you want to push for them go ahead but you’ll probably be fine without.
If it’s so minuscule and you don’t need them to enjoy the game, why is it ruining your life? Are they important or minor? What aspect of your life are they ruining? or is it the entire thing?
The only sockets hard to come by are Head/Wrists/Belt which can be filled in with bad vault weeks using the tokens. Neck has all 3 that can be just added and you can blow 2 crafts on guarantee socketed rings with BiS stats if you REALLY want the socket that bad and have no other use for Sparks (you will be drowning in them later anyway).
