Apparently the neck sockets are very poorly worded and they fooled me. I put a gold socked in first on my 395 Mindbreaker pendant. FF to two months later and I realize you can have up to 3 sockets. But you can’t add anything more if a gold was put in first. How do I clear the gold and start from scratch? Or is there another way?
You can add another gold quality medallion setting to that same neck to get your 3rd gem slot.

I would recommend the first two sockets with silver rank, the third socket with gold rank.

Copper > silver > gold, unless the silver is cheaper, then silver > silver > gold. I poasted about this about 6weeks ago. Hardly anybody read it. I bought a copper, silver and gold and they stacked together in my bags and there was no rank distinction, so gold somehow got used first. I ended up having to buy 3 golds. Shame on Blizzard.

I hope it’s fixed. Now I buy and use them one at a time just to be safe.
Of course, that’s the ideal way to go about it (saves gold), but if you already put on a gold setting you can only put another gold on top.
