I was saving up the massive amount of Stygia and gained the full reputation required for the socket addon that Ve’nari sold in the MAW but Blizzard removed it, why do that? Nothing else Ve’nari sells is worth thousands of Stygia I saved. I think it was 7000…
I thought they just put an item level cap upon them, did they actually remove it?
It was moved to Korthia.
This has been known since the PTR.
But you can spend your stygia on other stuff.
I guess I didn’t get the memo. Ve’nari sells like 1 or 2 things that doesn’t involve being in Torgast or The MAW. Useless to me, what a waste of Stygia farming. They should have just left it in, it wasn’t doing any harm being made available for those of us that could use it.

There’s a new Stygia vendor in Korthia, but the new sockets are bought with research tokens or whatever they’re called. I’m pretty sure Blizzard warned about moving the sockets item.
There’s vendors in Korthia that take Stygia now.
Warned…is it really required that everyone read everything Blizzard posts on these forums…I’ll look for the new vendors in Korthia.
Just to give you an idea of what to prepare for in the future…
Blizz pretty much never allows you to hoard some sort of currency that could directly impact your power for a future patch. We saw it a lot in BFA when they increased the cost of titan residuum drastically each patch, I believe valor reset this patch, etc.
So, if it’s ever a specific patches’ currency, and you can use it to buy power, probably best to assume it won’t be able to buy you power in the following patch (or look it up). Like the current research currency we’re farming will likely not sell gem slots in 9.2 either, even though they do right now.

On a similar note, I guess the thousands of Anima I put on my bank (probably 20-30k) + my Sanctum 34k Anima is useless now too since I purchased pretty much everything sold with Anima already except the two new items they added that require like 70+ renown.
Until they add more yes. If you got everything from the two vendors for your covenant, you’re all set.
What you could do is save all of your anima, put it in your bank, and when you have a crap ton, switch covenants, upgrade everything and buy what you want from there.

Because someone, not saying who, but the rumor is it was you, already maxed their Ve’nari rep and screwed it up for the rest of us and now we all have to grind out a new rep to regain what we… had.
Well yea if there are going to be changes with a new patch most intelligent people will read up on them, thats why blizzard post the patch notes
I just found the vendor in Korthia for adding a socket and you don’t spend Stygia, you spend 1000 Soul Cinders, and your reputation has to be with Death’s Advance. This is lame…Blizzard. I worked my butt off for Ve’nari reputation and 7000 Stygia to buy a socket.
