I am taking a break from retail for a bit. I am really feeling the burnout of retail and am looking forward to changing the pace up with Classic for a while. Eventually it will probably become a cycle of swapping back and forth between the two depending on content cycles and what I feel.

I’d rather live in a purgatory where I am forced to watch people floss for eternity than play Modern Wow.
I’d rather spend days at a time in a Tsukuyomi being tortured non stop… than play modern wow.
I’d rather take the place of Marcellus Wallace in pulp fiction during the sodomy scene, than play modern wow.
I’d rather give up computers for life… than play modern wow.
It is an abomination. It needs to die.

I will be playing just classic, I will take a break from classic during the 15 year anniversary in November for that event, then quit retail again
I’m looking at maybe 1/2 hour a day on current because there is no real story going on, and the rest of my free time on Classic.
More focus on less toons between the games. There is also the choice to make Warcraft my primary hobby… that means sacrificing some non-warcraft pastimes.
Where there is a will, you find a way.
Nope, giving up retail for good. There’s no reward in retail even running a mythic plus once a week.

It’s fine if you don’t want to play retail. But it’s also fine if there are people who do enjoy current WoW. We’re all supposed to be having fun. And some of us are going to do that by playing both.

Yesterday I used gold to get a wow token and sub to my 2nd account (of all 8) to say goodbye to my characters.
So i logged in to each and every one of like 44 characters or something, and with each login came a flood of memories, both good and bad, associated with that character.
It felt like they were all there waiting for me to play them. All are 100+.
…and there i was about to say goodbye.
So then i changed my mind about playing ONLY classic.
…and decided to play BFA 80% classic 20%.
So hell yeah, I’m going to play both, but unlike BFA, i will level just 2 character classes in classic slowly. So don’t expect to hit 60 before a good year. I’ll be amazed if i do.

I am planning on only Classic, I just bought 6 wow tokens in retail and applied it as game time on my 2 main accounts so I have 3 months of ‘free’ game time for classic goodness.
I’ll be able to play both becuase I don’t really have any obligations in Retail. I don’t even do LFR. Literally never done a Mythic dungeon. I have three characters all in the same guild, but they wouldn’t miss me or remember me if I didn’t log on. The other like 25 of my characters aren’t in a guild.
I’ve been growing more and more distant from Retail since WoD, doing less and less content. I still play BfA in hopes that 9.0 will be great. I know from quitting in WoD that going back to do legacy content such as unlocking flying isn’t fun. I also like playing dressup with that being my main focus in Retail.
I’ll mostly be playing Classic. I’ll still log into Retail to do things like completing the Death Knight class hall campaign. I’m also not in any kind of hurry to accomplish everything in Classic. It’ll probably take me like 5-6 months to hit 60.
Concentrating only on classic.
I have a hard time taking anyone serious that like current WoW. Since it isn’t even World of Warcraft anymore. I think it’s insulting to to the franchise to call retail WoW. I guess people like it for some reason though. No idea what that is though.
With that said there is nothing to manage in retail because it’s such a dead watered down game. You can do everything you need in a few hours for the entire week. Cap conquest if you PvP or just do Mythics and que a few games. Done! Then log out and do something meaningful by playing a real game like Classic.
Isn’t hard to manage.
Awesome! Did you play in the stress test at all? Do you have friends you’re playing with? You need a social group, especially if you’re not familiar with how it all plays out and “works.”
I’m just saying…if you’re a competent player and you’re capable of not being mean or excessively vulgar just ALL the time, I play with the most amazing group of people. Stalagg.

Yes. And I’ll manage both easily. Wife still asleep? Probably retail for PvP. Wife up? Probably hopping to classic.
Get bored of Classic? Retail.
Get bored of Retail? Classic.
Get bored of both? SWTOR or Conan Exiles
