telling the playerbase to not solo queue for WSG ever again by choosing not to address it. I played WoW in vanilla through WotLk and I can promise you that there was never a time where I faced 99.9% premades on the other side, no matter which faction I was playing. WSG is unplayable unless you invest an inordinate amount of time and gold to qualify as hardcore enough to be in a successful premade… period.

Idiotic response number 1. I am in a group of 10 people when I solo queue and enter the BG. That qualifies as playing with other people.

Welcome to WSG since it went live in Classic 2019, and its not 99% you’re just un-lucky…
It’s realistically 75% er so… High yes, but not 99%.
Now should something be done about this? Would be nice, but, Uhmmmmmm NO…

If they provided a solution to the queue dodging, it would dramatically improve the PvP gameplay for solo queuers in WSG.

You’re complaining about premades. But let’s imagine Blizzard introduces a deserter debuff to anyone who drops queue after a party member joined a BG. What will change? Nothing. Premades will simply stop dodging, but whichever team wipes first will sit in ghost for 6 minutes.
You will still be fighting premades 95% of the time.
Btw, AB will be exactly the same.
If you want to soloQ, look at AV.

I see no issue here. WSG should be for premades and competitive PvP only. If you’re looking for ‘‘fun’’ solo PVP. Go out into the world and find it yourself. Blizzard isn’t going to ‘‘fix’’ it just because you are willingly terrible at the game.

A group of 10 uncoordinated solo players.
You’re trying to play an MMO alone, and your winrate reflects that. If you’re unwilling to join a team of other players to accomplish a shared goal, e.g. win a WSG, then you have only yourself to blame when you lose 99% of your games.
You don’t need Blizzard to hold your hand; you need to get some friends and PvP together.

I played Vanilla and WSG / AB were about 30% premades. But most players also never set foot in MC, let alone clear it.
The meta hasn’t changed so much as it’s more extreme. But we all knew that would happen. What we didn’t expect was AV premades, thus why Blizzard intervened. WSG (and soon AB) premades were totally expected.

I think some people here have been too used to rated bgs in retail.
bgs in classic are only competitive and elite if you want them to be. Players like me will play them however we like.

Premade dodging is a tried and true vanilla technique. It happened all the time back then. Why change it just because you don’t like it? It’s very authentic.
