You go away. You are wrong to try to label other people and try to speak for them. That’s the problem with this game, since “the community” you fully accept as valid that informs feedback in the game is mostly streamers, theorycrafters, and some guy in the office who hasn’t played the game in more than a decade but has ideas how to fix “the casual problem” with tough love.
Yeah even as a healer, its impossible unless im running my own key. Sure, im off meta but still. My main is a 2800+ Mistweaver, ive completed multiple keys at 12. But ive applied to, and im not exaggerating, 28 siege of Boralus +12s and have been declined every time. Ive two chested this key on 11. And im being declined by people who are lower rio than me. Idk if this mentality of simply wanting a carry and taking someone who has already timed it has been here since the beginning or what. To me, I find it to be way more engaging gameplay to take people who havent timed it and everyone having a sense of accomplishment by the end.
Generally you slowly work your way up the M+ score over time if you’re pugging. Might have to do lower keys first, then a step up and time all of those, then again a step up and do this all the way up to close enough to +10.
You don’t just log in and just get into a +10 unless you have a very high score from a prior season then maybe.
Right but don’ t you need Enchanted Gilded Harbinger Crests? From where?
The enchanted crest just costs 90 gilded and you have a crafter make it.
Gilded drops from +8 or higher and last 2 bosses of heroic.
Basically the only way people would ever make reasonable requirements for their groups would be to pair people up and give them special rewards for taking chances on each other, even if they don’t complete the content. Because by making group requirements high enough, they can just guarantee the reward.
What happens when you make the group? No apps?
it gets better in the second half of the week when all the overqualified people already got their 8 easy 10s.
a lot of overqualified people apply to 10s earlier in the week. they get flooded by people who could run 12s+ if they wanted. makes the average joe that just got the bare minimum to run 10s rot in the list.
I don’t know, it’s seemed easier than previous seasons for me to find healers and tanks personally.
Lol 10 are not THAT hard, his profile looked fine.
This is why I said the item level cap is too high. 639 is ridiculous when people easily can get hard capped at 619 just a few weeks ago into the season.
The system is broken.
Noone knows you or your intent to risk their 20 year old account so you and your friends can mass report and have them auto suspended. The end.
Run your own keys, or tank / heal.
There is an abundance of dps. List a key and you’ll get 10-20 dps signing up within seconds for a decently high key. However, you might get 1-2 tanks or healers.
The real solution is one that people seem to hate the most, and that is to make friends and play with them.
Yes. Keep reading.
Get a tank friend…
People doing the content at an appropriate level are not being carried. Those who only accept massively overgeared players in their groups are.
So you grind 8 dungeons… get 12 each… then you can make a piece of mythic gear but I’m sure it costs a lot.
Okay thanks. That’s one option… expensive though lol.
its 15 crests more expensive than upgrading a myth piece to full. without getting the myth piece. 3 ilvls lower but who cares.
Its a lot of gold per piece though or?
I run with my guildies or my mythic + community that Ive been building since season 1 of dragon flight, and if those aren’t an option you can always push your own key up.
You do it in the first 2 months of a season instead of the last 2 months of a season.
That’s pretty much it.
If you’re there when everyone else is working on it you get declined a lot less for not being max gear and not having done it on 2 key levels above what you’re trying to join.
Fact is, now there’s just a LOT of people who have characters that are in their 630s (or very near it) with full 10s timed. Anyone listing a 10 can just wait a couple more minutes to get one of those players instead of inviting a 620 player who has done 3 10s, 2 9s, and a bunch of 8s (random example, but applies even if you’ve done all but 1 10 if you’re applying for that 1 10 you haven’t done).
That’s more or less the norm for all content. The longer you wait the harsher the competition for the slot is and therefore the pickier pug leaders can afford to be.
You bypass this by pushing your own keys / making your own groups or running with friends / guildies (if you have a guild that will run with you). Brute Forcing your way into a pug group that is only going to see you as underqualified will always feel bad.
FWIW it’s the worst in M+, because there is reason to push 10s (and 8s) while massively outgearing that level of play. People need crests and Mythic Vault slots for a VERY long time.
Meanwhile people get their trinket or whatever out of Raid and basically never have to touch it again since most people don’t bother with Mythic, so raid pugs have to settle for a bunch of mid 610s applying to Heroic Groups while the equivalent M+ content has 630s applying.
