So Why Don't We Have Ogres?

Giving Naga the ‘Worgen’ or ‘Dracthyr’ treatment with a Night Elf visage would be the wise move to make.

You could initiate them in Night elf form upon mounts and rideable quest items, to prevent awkward modelling and provide a loophole to saving resources for Blizzard from having to customise many more animations for those sorts of things.

Personally I think we should also have Night Elf Worgen (I mean, they were the original worgen) – but don’t mind me :eyes:

They could add 3 new races and give diverse even choice.

  • Ogres = Horde (or if not Ogres, then at least Mok’nathal with models like Rexxar)
  • Naga = Alliance (Give them Night Elf ‘Visage’ or transform, like Worgen have)
  • Furbolg = Both (Tauren representatives introducing them to the Horde, and Night Elf representatives to Alliance – Preferably not Tyrande)

Because vulpera sell more faction/race swaps

Suspiciously wealthy furries make for a better market than old fans of the franchise

Because nobody would actually play one.

At least, not more than an hour.

Ever get killed playing a Tauren by the Undercity elevators?
Ever play a Tauren and not be able to walk inside Orc buildings?
Ever be on your Tauren and not be able to loot certain treasures because you can’t get close enough to the item to click it?

Unless you’ve played a lot as a Tauren, you have no idea how ridiculously unfriendly the game is toward large characters.

It’s also hilarious how most of the people asking for playable Ogres are posting on Alliance characters. Fine with me if Blizzard wastes the next Alliance race by giving them Ogres, though. Make them an Alliance race.

Now that everyone has spoken, I’m going to say that the ogres almost made it to the horde with a super cool model; Although they remember in wow Shadowlands when we go to maldraxxus they don’t take the House of the chosen ones, there we meet some suspicious npc, which the models of the npc of the house of the chosen ones are super cool; Well what I’m going to do is that the npc of the house of the chosen according to the ptr of shadowlands were going to be the ogres that died in the first war in azeroth to hide that story they put a Hood so that nothing is suspected.
In short, the npc of the house of the chosen ones were going to be the new models of the ogres for the horde but since blizz did not like that, blizz decided to abandon that story and not give ogres to the horde

Ogre v Mogu or Ogre v Vrykul could be a good combo.

i think the visage can be used for dryads & keepers too (like a night elf visage allowing them to mount and such.).

Visage forms have already opened up possibilities like you illustrated…i think Naga could also fit in the story if we explore Azshara again…she is still alive after all :revolving_hearts:

Would be best to make em like pandas and pick

Ogres for Horde, Vrykul for Alliance. During the starting zone they recieve a shrinking device/potion from Goblins/Gnomes. This would be a racial ability to either grow or shrink.

They really, really aren’t. Ogres come in a variety of different sizes and some aren’t even as a big as a tauren. Go to Alterac and see for yourself.

Player Ogres should be Zandalari height, Tauren width, probably using a modified Kultiran skeleton. Shoulda been playable years ago, the stonemaul clan was added to the horde in frozen throne

The size issues would make that problematic.

The Vrykul also have all their gear as a part of their model. I doubt Blizzard wants to have to redo them completely so they can wear our gear.

Giving Ogres their own mini bloodlust racial that makes them grow bigger in combat would be a nice little nod to the WC3 units while also solving the (honesty nonexistent) scale issue.

Semantics. With current skins and being led by the most famous of the High Elves, they’re High Elves in everything but name. They are the Alliance’s High Elves.

No, they aren’t. They’re exiled Blood Elves. So, twice tainted.

The High Elves are of the Silver Covenant and never tainted themselves.

Again, semantics. High elf model, skin options, eye color, and leader. In all but name, they are your high elves.

It’s clear that you have no teeth in this and have no understanding why Players aren’t happy with Void Elves, since they asked for High Elves.

What exactly are you asking for? A label that be easily replaced by downloading an addon and changing it?

It’s clear you’re just being fussy about a name tag and wouldn’t be satisfied with anything. Classic forum poster really.

You wanna play an ogre, then get this.

Problem solved!

Rather just have Mok’nathal and be done with it.

Ogres for Horde.
Naga for Alliance.

Finish the RTS races
