This seems likes an easy win for Blizz, make these a transferrable currency or a warbound item. That way if I have toons with 5, 17, 50, 77 etc I can combine them all and actually buy what I want.

All holiday currency should be warbound. It stinks to have 30-40 currency sitting on alts when the items you want to buy cost 350. Granted, you can plan it out and grind out the blossoms strategically, spread out across certain alts to buy them, but it just seems like an easy change to make them warbound.

My worry is that Blizz will see posts like this one and remember that they forgot to take warbands into account…and reduce the blossoms you get on alts rather than making them warbound.

I think its to have people do the event over spamming the boss with instant queue classes. I don’t agree with the mentality but I get it.

I actually decided to just fly all over in a couple lower level alts I have to get currency and a good amount of experts maybe I should thank Blizz
I took two alts around for all of the fires and had way more than I needed to collect the few new things. I wouldn’t object to them making the change, but if you run one alt to all of the expansion fires, you’ll have just about enough to get the new items, two alts for sure. I’ll run more alts around while I’m queueing for TW dungeons, but won’t need any more of the blossoms for anything, so I wish we could turn them in for something…else.

I hear you. I personally dont see the draw of mindlessly flying around for events either.

I’ve actually had a bit of fun with flying around on an earthen alt. I can combine flying around to collect blossoms with exploring the map to make use of their hilarious racial passive that boosts discovery exp. 
I’ve only finished up through Cataclysm and I’m up to level 61!

I forgot about that! I have an Earthen warrior sitting at 51 and I haven’t touched him in awhile, guess I know who I’m flying around for fires now!

they also should not make the currency only last for the duration of the event.
would love to have tricky treats as a permanent warbound item for hallows end, much like the other items such as the blossoms to buy the rewards we have scrapped for.

In case of seasonal, and other typically cosmetic that will be going to the warband anyway type stuff, those tokens should also become warbound (like Burning Blossoms), and not purged afterwards.
If it’s important to ensure players can’t hold onto currency for NEW items (buying them without doing the new content), perhaps add 1 new seasonal currency that is like a “McGuffin” new items require the specific seasonal currency and some McGuffin- once the item is old, then it no longer requires the McGuffin. This Guffin can be reused for each seasonal, and is reset (since its literally being used as a timegate / force participation, since that would be the main reason Blizzard would be purging).
Also, imo, 1:1 currency shouldn’t need to be transferred, it should just be in a warband wallet. If WoW wants to ensure each character feels different (well then if that was the point the whole warband idea is not great lol), but then it could also be an opt in wallet (where you have to turn the wallet on). I don’t know why I need to menu dive to share the 1:1 stuff especially.

But the VAST majority of the currency comes from bonfires. Lighting/extinguishing bonfires was never really an event, it doesn’t require other people. Even the PvP element of it (laff!), in all my years of doing this event, I’ve never once had someone attack me.
If you’re trying to collect 350 blossoms just buy queueing for Ahune, you’re doing it wrong.
Ahune is only for the specific xmog he drops.
You then do torch tossing (ignore torch catching, waste of time). Kill the Lieutenants. And then after about 3-4 days of that, you fill-in the rest of what you need with bonfires.
Done and done, easy.

Wait by lieutenant do you mean Ahune, or are there rares I can farm for these things?
This is what will happen. If it was warbound then it would only reward Blossoms to the first character. Alts would just get silver.

There are a group of dailies that send you to various zones where you have to click on a water stone to summon an enemy.
There are 6 in total and the zones are
Searing Gorge
Northern Stranglethorn
Silithus
Ashenvale
Desolace
Hellfire Peninsula.
