So who's playing on Xbox?

I don’t have an Xbox but even if I did, I still wouldn’t be playing WoW on it over my PC.

Consoles absolutely trump PCs for certain games…games that were built and designed for said console and ported to PC as an afterthought, for example. The handful of console games emu…err ported over to PC and trying to play on a keyboard just to be atrocious is way too high.

Just use a controller and you’re golden.

Console gamers about to feel 144hz for the first time and question why they spent so many years thinking 30/60 was acceptable

I went from 60 to 180 and nearly cried. It was like breathing air for the first time.

Why would i play on Xbox when i have a pc

PC always and forever. I don’t even have new PS or Xbox consoles..not worth the price for the little amount of time I’d play them.

Not the current gen, the future. This means that you also believe the adobe suite, league of legends, and microsoft office is coming to console.

Their statement is basically that they’re making a gaming pc and calling it a console as it’s a pc first, and a “console” second.

This is the same person who says WoW is better than FF XIV based on how much money the parent company makes overall rather than the game itself (Micrsoft Vs Square Enix).

And while WoW likely does make more money you still have to admit their logic is still ten kinds of messed up.

NOT ME. PC gamer through and through.

Not unless you’re paying an exorbitant amount of money for a new handheld PC with the Xbox name on it, you’re not.

yup. basically. the xbox series consoles are the last xbox consoles. microsoft has thrown in the towel and will just be releasing a xbox branded pc.

Saying wow is coming to console a very disingenuous statement.

Nah, it’s a pretty great tell. If you explain it to them point blank and they still derp out, then they prove they’re not competent enough to have a conversation with. In short, it’s a flag for who to perm ignore.

The next Xbox will be a PC. Wow isn’t being ported to the xbox. The new xbox will be able to play wow by virtue of it being a PC.

Xbox from here on out will be a line of prebuilt PCs like Alienware.

You can call it a PC if you want but it’s really just a console with a windows OS and the ability to download apps.

You won’t be able to upgrade it at all…

You won’t be able to do anything they don’t want you to do on it either. You’ll have far less freedom than a PC.

You can’t upgrade a laptop either, but we don’t call gaming laptops consoles.

And from everything i’ve heard. It will autolaunch with the xbox interface that you will be able to minimize or close out of to access normal windows.

You can though.

• RAM

• Storage

• Battery

• WiFi/Bluetooth card

• Keyboard/Touchpad

But its still running on a console. If it’s still called an xbox, thats still a console whether it runs a windows OS or not.

So what? They aren’t making wow for consoles. The “console” is being made to play wow, and a million other PC exclusive titles.

That’s a very important distinction.

Like if blizzard had gone full tilt into making their own native gamepad setup intuitive and not reliant on addons at the same time as this was being announced, then i’d be giving them the side eye, but they aren’t.

   Would it be such a bad thing? Ijs a console is a pc w/out a browser nowadays and they make console keyboards that plug into the controller port. Im sure someone has already figured out how to play from a Xbox console anyways. Also wouldnt have to do manual BIOS updates on a console either or not? :upside_down_face:  lol. Idc tbh, they of course are trying to appeal to a wider and younger audience, OBR and the rest is currently a choice to use, just like whether you will play on a pc or console, same option FF14 players have had for years. If things go in that direction :man_shrugging: :victory_hand:
