So who here isn't speed-running the game?

and is actually enjoying the story?

slowly raises hand

Life pools were cute as heck with the all the whelps and caretakers and the homosexual dragonspawns were a very amusing couple in dialogue. Blizzard also definitely upped their animations in the cutscenes [Unfortunately some are still low-budget janky], I was really immersed in Wrathion and Sabellian’s first encounter with one another.

Most people I’m sure will probably say “Life pools? What life pools?”, so rushed to end-game can’t even admire all the work Blizzard staff team put into details. But people can play the game however they want to play it, it’s their money and their subscription.

I’ve played a lot of MMOs where people just speedrun whenever new content comes out, and it’s kind of frustrating. Story-wise, you don’t really get what’s going on if you skip cutscenes. And then you ask about the basic stuff to people who watched cutscenes and they’re wondering what you’re on about.

well, i don’t care for the story, and i don’t care for leveling BUT I do care for learning the new professions, exploring sustainable gold avenues,

so i am in the part where I take it easy and do the stuff I like, now that leveling is over.

what people do when it comes to MMOs, speed run to the end so they can do everything then complain because there isnt anything to do and the expansion sucks and quit.

The surprise to them is evidently that the story itself is a major part of the content. This is after all an mmorpg.

I did the story on alpha.

I am taking my time though. I only now started Azure Span and I’m already level 70. Lol.

Man I’ve been really taking my time. I’m just now entering into Ohna’rahn [Spelling!] plains, I was doing a lot of side quests and doing all the races along with getting all the glyphs in Waking Shores.

They aren’t mutually exclusive. :dracthyr_love_animated: Sometimes I’ll go quickly, other times I’ll take it slowly. It just kind of depends on how I’m feeling.

I’m speed-crawling in-fact, have not even bought DF that how fast I am going.

2 levels a day keeps me happy. side quests run and read. The first run in new stuff always go slow.

its the alts that go for record times sometimes. worse the story…faster the times lol. SL I got some really good fast times.

I’m questing intensely, playing almost nonstop for a couple of days. But I am going through all the side quests that I come across.

Already through the Waking Shore.

I’ve actually been doing some Artifact appearance stuff lol and BGs. just taking my time at the moment.

I’m just playing. Not rushing, not going super slow. Didn’t even log in yesterday .

This is a game. It’s weird how people here treat it like it’s some kind of Olympic event

Im taking my time enjoying the stories. im lvl 68 and only at the end of the Ohn’Ahran plains story. just drinking it in like expensively good whiskey. Did a lot of side quests and working on professions. My time with the Centaurs has been great. For me who works Leather, skinning and Cooking, its an awesome experience.

My favorite time at the life pools for me honestly was listening to the old red dragon (the one in dwarven visage, I cant remember the name off the top of my head) his story was interesting and quite sad, but I sat through all of it and found it enjoyable even if it hit the feels pretty bad.

I am looking forward to adventuring through the next zones. So far the characters and factions ive encountered have been interesting. It all feels like just a great adventure without the over convoluted cosmic threat that SL had. And I am here for it. Feels good to be back to good old adventuring rather than end of world stuff for a change, even if the primalists are a big threat. They feel more like the Sha in MoP, big threat sure, but doesn’t take away from the overall theme of adventure and exploration, its just in parallel with it.

I also tamed one of the spotted sabertooth looking felines. She is a beauty, the model is really high quality.

Me!

Almost 62 and ended at the Ruby Dragonshrine right before maintenance kicked in. Haven’t been back on yet. I’m literally reading all the text, stopping to fish and pet battle etc. No rushy rush.

I really do love places in a game like this that puts me in my own element. I really admired the Obsidian Citadel so far as the closest I’ve got to my own, but the Ohn’Ahran plains is looking to be promising.

From what I’ve spoiled for myself many months ago, it’s looking like the Azure Span will be it. Can’t wait to get there.

me but i really am not reading the quests tbh. im just kinda getting a general idea or wth is going on via actually doing the quests. too much text for me to be reading and it kills the joy for me when i start reading all the text. some quests i do read the text but most i just skip and accept/turn in.

no point in me speed running it been there done that already burnt out multiple times and this time i can’t even if i wanted to. baby otw in about 4 months so im just enjoying my free time. kind of helps that my S/O always bugs me too like just now i had to go downstairs with her to grab ice cream from the mom and pop store.

I’m doing everything on my main. I’ll rush on alts.
