ive played wow plenty long enough, but your right i didnt play ffxiv long enough to be worried about housing. i get your housing argument and your right about that. i just meant that it doesnt effect anything in the game other than your desire to have a house. i get thats a big deal to some people and that is actually one of the coolest parts of ffxiv is that you can play the game however you want and it doesnt matter. the mounting thing tho isnt a big deal at all imo like i said a week in and i just didnt even remember that it annoyed me at first. the only way i could see that it would be a big deal is if your struggling for keybinds and have to push the button with your mouse that would actually be annoying.
so actually i apologise for saying you didnt have an argument im far enough removed from ffxiv that i have wow brain again where the only thing that really matters is character and raid progression/pvp rating.
I think they do care about the community. They say ‘we’ve been listening.’ I believe them, fully. You know who they listen to? Everyone. People confuse ‘we’ve been listening to the community,’ with ‘we agree with the community.’ It’s a subtle nuance that most people miss, and just because they don’t agree with everything the community says doesn’t mean they don’t care but they listen to everyone which unfortunately isn’t any different than listening to no one.
The same Blizzard that only bans bots in waves and claims its so they don’t figure out how they are being caught when in reality its because they pay sub fees too. Blizzard lies, its just their nature.
Yep, and its still perfectly profitable for them to buy those boosts and sub fees again if they only have to do it every few months. If they whad to do it every day or every few days they wouldn’t be as profitable so thats why Blizzard lets bots run rampant for months at a time.
oh yea. i mean they gonna make the boost money back within a couple weeks and i think im being generous there. there is 100% no chance that bots are actually lvling through classic and now bc
this is true. blizzard only ever sends out surveys to a very small amount of people. If they actually wanted the community voice there’s a really easy way to get it. Do what jagex has done and put an ingame pole. This way only active members of the community can vote.
While yes those with multiple account may have more power they would need to be paying like thousands of dollars before that would become an issue in the slightest.
You could even put it at the bank. where people could interact with an NPC to take an in game survey and have it be sent off electronically like they do currently.
you obviously have not seen alterac valley alone. Go there at night i gaurentee you’ll find at least 70% of each side will be bots. Death knight bots at that.
blizzard doesnt look at the forums. they have marketing people look at twitter mostly. also feedback when people actually quit and dont come come for 6 months.
This does matter actually from a financial point of view. Classic and retail share the same subscription, people who play classic and retail simultaneously are to be frank, an irrelevant crowd that make no sense to listen to when it comes to classic. Because people who simultaneously play retail will still be paying that subscription to retail weather or not blizzard listens to them regarding classic.
The only people that make sense to listen to are the classic die hards who haven’t touched retail in a decade and will never have any interest in it, i.e. the nost crowd who convinced blizzard to make classic happen, and the recovered subscribers who have quit since cataclysm over the changes that turned WoW away from being an mmo and rpg.
Unless blizzard makes classic a separate suscription, only the die hards who have not touched retail in years and never will touch it again are the relevant crowd to listen to. And the additions you want in classic are completely antithetical to what this audience (in general) wants.
Oh they absolutely look at the forums. They look to see if people are actually calling them out in a way that they actually care. Like when people called them out on the hong kong incident. Even mentioning it back then would not only get your post removed but get you instant banned.
Blizzard only listens to negativity and nothing else will work. Until someone famous shoves enough bad PR down their throats they are going to continue to tell you to respect the “feel” of classic while doing a worse job then private servers have for 10 years. The devs dont even play the game they are all out on a fishing boat in XIV and I would be to if I hadnt already cleared the ultimate, savage raids and gotten Big Fish already.
you literally said bots aren’t leveling. i said yes they are. go to alterac valley for a prime example of it specifically at night for a guaranteed example. This is because AV grants both honor and exp now.
