So which expansion is after Shadowlands?

Ya know could idk Kael’thas another character like they did to Garrosh. Or bring the big baddies of the warcraft universe aka the void lords. Or just create something out of nowhere so far we’ve been living off characters and lore from the rts days

I hope it is NOT the Light, and is instead a gnome vs. goblin techno expansion, with Mecha C’thun as the prime villain. I know this sounds whack, but Blizz has a chance to start a dialogue on artificial intelligence, technological curves, and mutually assured destruction with a theme like this. The gnomes and goblins deserve their due. Imagine C’Thun “hacking” his consciousness into a network, or the Goblins (who softcore worship the OId Gods) construct him and overlay his conscience, or perhaps he is re-originated and everything goes to Hell in a hand basket and instead of being dispatched, he becomes a mechanical Old God. Either way, Blizz make this happen.

The Horde gets Ogres so the Goblins can have big oafs to ride, and the Alliance gets Valarjar or some tribe of Vrykul, who have recognized the puny gnomes for their Titanic affinity (and also because F Sylvanas for assaulting Utgarde Keep in Wrath then assaulting Eyir in Legion). So it’s a mini-me expansion, with a not-so-serious theme, and tinkers, but you also get some epic stuff the community has wanted for years. Two giant races, 1 from Outland, 1 from Wrath.

On the contrary, I think it’s an excellent idea to have Light as the main theme of the new expansion after shadowlands.

It will be the expansion where Light and Order is the dominant force of the world where everybody is forced to do all the right things.
New raid dungeon will be called “Final Exam”

Boss #1 = Biology teacher, boss mechanics = if you get “I am happy” buff, stack to give other players happy energy boosting their immunity. If you get “I smell like Cigarette” debuff, move the hell out of others or it’s Raid wipe.

Boss #2 = Math teacher, most raid groups won’t make it past this boss. Every now and then he will ask each raid members math questions and the players will have to choose the right answers or it’s wipe.

e.g. how many prime numbers between 13 and 50?

Final boss mechanics will include special attacks like Harsh lessons and Extra homework! (I got the ideas from Legion btw LOL)

I got another idea. What about a pirate expansion that ultimately ends with Azshara and Neptulon? It starts off as a few select heroes being sent to investigate and infiltrate pirate island as they have amassed a large amount of azerite and may strike against the factions. pirates have been attacking supply lines. they seem more organized and are seen as a nuisance, but we quickly find the pirate king has made a few deals with a few baddies and has a metric crap ton of weapons and ammunition from being completely ignored for like 9 xpacs.

-naval combat / navigation
-ship building
-underwater archaeology / submersibles
-lumbering / woodworking
-pirate island and the return of the defias
-MR SMITE RETURNS.
-more giant parrot mounts
-dragon isles
-booty bay revamp
-elemental plane of water
-azshara
-naga & murlocs

Probably depends on what FF14 calls their next expansion.

My best guess would be void. Maybe not fighting the void lords yet, but fighting the void on, say, the Ethereals world or something.

I am guessing with these writers, next xpack after Shadowlands will be Sylvanas redemption arc and the one after that will be Sylvanas the Savior xpac.

Nobody predicted Shadowlands. The idea was seeded by Blizzard employees posting rumors on non-company affiliated accounts.

I dont think they’re ever going to let it hit level 120 again.

Doubt that as well, but the point is we have upward advancement again.

Yes, we definitely have that!

World of Warcraft; Tig Anime Biddies.

They are just going to go back to Vanilla and retcon everything into oblivion.

Whatever we release from the Maw.

I’ve noticed the dev team been redesigning content they scrapped, It would not surprise me if they have turned an old theme they’ve scrapped during the creation of their Warcraft MMO project.

Warcraft itself do have the potential of becoming a sci-fi fantasy genre. Thinking what Azeroth would look like hundreds or thousands of years is incomprehensible… (Especially if Technomancy were very common.)

It ends when three fleets appear near Azeroth, Outland remains, and Argus. Warcraft really takes place about the same time as events from Starcraft and Azeroth is part of the Koprulu Sector.

We’ll get our Emerald Dream expansion eventually. Remember that void flower is corrupting whatever is inside that titan vault as we speak.

Might be the last expansion the way they are going.
