All in the question. Just looking for people’s opinions on the easiest Vanilla class to play and level.
Hunter

Hunter and Warlock.
warlocks are pro levelers
and we get a freebie mount at 40
Hunter and mage tend to be the fastest to level, though mage not so much on release since the good aoe farm spots will be camped to hell.
warlocks are quite easy, but hunters have a movespeed buff and their pets are better at holding aggro
obviously warrior, it is the best class overall

It is hunter.
Hunter after level 10 is likely the easiest, with Warlock being second (or 1a/1b). Send in your pet and auto-attack, that’s about all it takes and it’s effective. The only things you will have to worry about are ammo and pet management, neither of which is difficult.
Warlocks need to at least be aware of their mana, Hunters don’t. That’s the only reason I give the edge to Hunters.
Whao, now that’s an interesting hot take full of… information…
Why are these questions still being asked with less then 24 hours to go, also the game is over a decade old…
I don’t know what will be the easiest to level but I know the best world pvp class will be Mage
mage is really easy to level, hunters are just more so
Hunter and warlock are gotos, and mage will do great once the population spreads out a bit, but feral druid is sleeper an amazing leveler, especially on fresh servers. Very low gear dependence, ability to tank dungeons no problem if you want, move speed at 30/31. Very low downtime between pulls.
The difference between going afk as a lock and a hunter. True story from vanilla:
-
Lock, go afk to heat hot pocket. Come back and your pet is dead and a mob is attacking you, almost dead you still manage to kill said mob.
-
Hunter, go afk to make a bowl of cereal and take a bio break. Come back with 6 dead mobs and your pet calmly walking back towards you.
Priest for sure
Seriously, roll a hunter if you want ease of leveling. Full BM and your pet is stronger than most classes before they get geared. Someone could probably make a video of a hunter getting to 60 from 10 without ever firing a arrow or bullet, just pet damage. Probably could beat a warrior in the race too lol.
And if you don’t go afk on the lock, you can theoretically infinitely kill multiple mobs yourself via fear juggling. Note I say “theoretically”, because someone or something will eventually kill your streak. Still, once a nooblet lock gets the hang of it, fear juggling is both efficient and fun.
I did manage to kill Morbent Fel as a lock at level 29 on the beta. I am not totally sure a hunter could do that…maybe they could. I abused the heck out of fear though.
