So. Where we all going once Discord is dead?

In case you hadn’t heard, Discord is going public soon. We all know what that means of course. So which app are you guys moving to?

None. Because the server I still primarily use is private. And there’s still nothing like Discord.

Paying for the Vent server was a guaranteed way to ensure you didnt get benched on raid night, lol.

We don’t really know for now. Maybe Discord is in a position like YouTube or Twitch, where they’re ‘too big to fail’ even if they start making a bunch of anti-user changes and no viable competitor ever emerges because at this point, it takes more effort than anyone’s willing or able to put in to really compete with these platforms.

I’m not on Discord anyway so I’m completely unaffected

Is ICQ still kicking around out there?

I fail to see why going public is a bad thing.

And I have yet to see an app even remotely similar.
