So... Where is the tuning?

The most recent build had some great tuning for a lot of classes. Warrior just had one of their covenant abilities completely reworked, Shadowpriest got new mastery ect.

I am so worried. We literally just got our new talents last week and well… There are still so many issues, dead talents, trash covenant abilities, leggos and conduits on top of all the bugs.

I am hopeful they will redesign or make changes still, especially since I wanted to go Venthyr, but it is not likely. When will we even get a chance to test all this?

Anyway, more of a rant than a real post.

UGH, COME ONE BLIZZ, GIVE US THE CHANGES WE DESERVE!

They stated that this week was for Ret, next week is for Monks. So we should be coming up soon after that.

I watched the Rogue roundtable Sloot held and my god there are so many more issues and bugs than I thought there were.

Aside from (sadly unrealistic at this point) changes I or others would like to see (not saying everyone wants what I want, just saying everyone has their own wishes), what little there is on the beta barely even functions as it’s supposed to or is even clear how it’s supposed to function to begin with.

And I can’t help but be frustrated at Blizz apologising for the wait and thanking the monk community for their feedback in their (hefty) blue post when ours from only a week ago is written like the Alpha has just barely started.

19 weeks of silence is completely fine, but 20? 20 weeks is just too much.

I’m pretty sure Rogues have given plenty feedback as well.

The cynic in me believes that Blizzard doesn’t care. Just look at Outlaws conduits. It straight up feels like they were designed out of spite.
“oh, most you are complaining about RtB, we’ll here is even more RtB stuff for you”
Or, at the very least, someone who has never played a rogue.

We’ll see. i’d love to be wrong.

They only have limited Dev time and a large portion of it was taken up by the Shadow rework as well as the Covenant overhauls for Paladin and Druid. It’s something you get used to when you play classes that don’t have a sizeable population. The ones that have the higher playerbase gets the most work.

Is there a link to a video? I wanted to watch it but couldn’t due to work

They did? I must have missed it. God I can’t wait.

I’m not saying we are next after Monks, just that next week is specifically going to be a Monk patch. Since they are one of the lesser played classes like we are, it’s reasonable to assume we would follow them.

I watched the vod on Twich coz I reckon that it might take a while before it gets uploaded to his youtube.

I know but that isn’t what I talked about at all though. I focused on the way they communicate. The difference between the blue posts for Monks and the one for Rogues last week is massive.

And I don’t mean the amount of changes, I get that there’s a chance we still get our turn (I just don’t want to get my hopes up, I’ll see it when I see it). I mean that they don’t even touch on or mention the fact that loads of people have been trying to give feedback nor mention that they’re aware of the state and “stuff will happen” like they at least eluded to for shadow priest. There’s a bloody community ran github specifically to keep track of all bugs for Blizzard.

As an aside, are Rogues really not a popular class anymore? I guess all the worse players that still want something edgy/agile swapped to DH. To be honest I like not playing the popular class, as long as what I play is at least decently viable.

Edit: Yea just checked, didn’t realise we have the 2nd lowest replies in the class threads on the beta feedback section. :frowning:

Communication on blizz has never been great. Sadly feedback wise we are one of the least represented. Seeing the changes they have given to other classes makes me hopeful… but seeing how it took 4 months to get 2 talents back with no adjustments to anything else really makes me… just can they at least tell us if they plan to look at the other talent issues ect?

Thank you both.

I’m just hoping Akaari’s doesn’t get gutted. Super strong ST kind of makes up for weak af AoE for Sub and it’s extremely fun for me.

Oh yea definitely. They way they’ve communicated and the amount of changes they’ve made (and have said they’re willing to make) during this Alpha/Beta is night and day in comparison to any previous development cycle.

It’s just the class specific communication that could be better

A very sizeable portion of the playerbase has gone DH, yes. WoW is still primarily a raiding game, and Rogue brings zero utility to raid other than Cloak for soak mechanics. You usually only have 1-2 Rogues in a given raid, vs. class stacking Hunters, Mages, Warlocks where you are okay having 4+ of one of those classes.

Of what remains of Rogues, a large portion are casuals who use it as a PvP character. But at the high-end of PvE, Rogue is definitely one of the least played classes.

It is for sure going to get nerfed. The fact it gives CP along with the damage alone is just huge. I for sure see changes coming.
Also, I believe the new aoe finisher from what I read also isn’t scaling with mastery yet.

Also in regards to rogue in pve
This is actually really true. My main was a DK/Warrior since Legion with Rogue as a pvp alt. I just recently switched to doing pve with the rogue.
At least we have shroud going for us in mythic plus in sl. but for raids, 100% rarely see more than 1-2 rogues.

Even then I think that this is kind of what it’s keeping Sub afloat atm. The AoE is really bad even if it’s currently not scaling with Mastery and will be fixed and I feel that a super strong ST with weak AoE is a good niche.

I would be okay with that, but at least from a pvp stand point, it is super overtuned. People are dead in openers.

Doing 50% more DPS than the next closest is not ‘keeping Sub afloat’. It’s broken beyond belief. It’s getting changed.
