So when is the alliance

getting their fistpump promised back in MoP?

I had no idea they were promised this? I’m not even sure what you’re referring to.

Um, Teldra…wait

Oh oh, Undercit…hmm

Ah-ha! Siege of Zuldaz…

You know what, I’ll get back to you on that one

You already got it when Alliance had to save the Horde from their own incompetence, but as usual, it wasn’t good enough because it didn’t result in the wiping of the Horde. So all in all, it’ll never be good enough… even if they’re heading towards the exact same path this xpac.

Yeah, no, saving the horde after they commit atrocities against the alliance is not a fistpump, but you are just as blind as the devs aren’t you?

No I just saw it like you refuse to see it: The Alliance saving Horde from its own stupidity.

And let’s face it, the “fist bump” you’d love would be to win the war… which only means one thing. So basically, something that can never be achieved.

Helping the people that murdered and committed atrocities against your people is not a fist pump, no matter how you try to frame it to fit your bias.

And please don’t put words in my mouth. I want an alliance that is competent and not afraid to show it’s teeth. I want a leader that is not afraid to do the same to the horde that they have done to us. I want to be able to have a victory that isn’t pyrrhic or outright cut short because false moral equivalencies.

NONE of this means winning the war, so stop replying with such a closed mind.

UC, War Campaign, and Dazar’Alor haven’t been fist pump moments?

Nope, and they never admit they gotten it about 5 times total. Including extra one of them shelving of WOD for a whole expansion dedicated to them. Now that BFA went from a horde expansion back to alliance I can say horde never get a fist bump moment.

The alliance always playing the victim card and dev caving in. Glad to see that they might have overplayed with a recent move to shelf any more revenge moments for Night elves. Thus, the tides hopefully turning and horde gets there (ha, ha).

No ones winning this war as far as i see.Is it over?

It would be nice to have Alliance have a clean victory in this expansion for once.

Undercity was a farce with Sylvanas getting the last laugh after Blighting countless Alliance troops, and almost getting a half dozen heroes of the Alliance killed due to Anduin’s bumbling leadership.

Also I really thought he was gonna kiss Sylvanas while holding Genn back.

Meanwhile Horde just sneak through the middle of Stormwind, into the heavily guarded Stockcades, kills a bunch of guards, makes fools of Genn and even Jaina, and escapes without a scratch.

The Night Elves continue to be a big ol’ punching bag for the Horde. Would be nice for the Night Elves to, y’know, be able to do something cool instead of getting trolled by pretty zombie Nathanos “Gary Sue” Blightcaller.

Don’t get me started on Nathanos, he is by far the worst character ever made for the game. And I thought Thrall in Cataclysm was insufferable.

Even the War Campaign, I can’t say for certain we actually did anything AGAINST the Horde. Sylvanas was intending on recruiting San’lyan? You think the Horde would really stand for that even if Sylvanas did? We killed a mutual enemy who would probably betray the Horde anyway, meaning we actually helped them.

I even gave up on RPing because I tended to play anti-Horde characters and even the Alliance seemed to be supporting them. The state of the Alliance this expansion is infuriating, even just thinking about it.

I’m mad.

It’s canon and mentioned by even Nathanos

Imagine if he did that, and then Sylvanas fell in love with him instantly but remembered that Nathanos already set the trap, so all she can do is run away with massive regret and now is forced to fight a war she doesn’t want to

we got the prettier garrison in Warlords.

It’s actually because the state of both sides is infuriating this expansion. I used to think this that people were overreacting when they said the writing was bad, but I totally see it now. The Horde victories aren’t so exciting when you consider that the untrustworthy Sylvanus is the one leading them. It’s also not very good for them to have to be working with the alliance to accomplish any honorable goals.
On the Alliance side, it seems we haven’t done much except lose cities/ships/allies to The Horde (but really Sylvanus, which is not a victory for either side). It’s actually rather remarkable that the writers have somehow created a story where both sides feel bad. The Horde is losing its identity to Sylvanus, and the alliance is losing everything else.
It is not satisfying on either side, and the common thread is Sylvanas. Losing your pride (horde) and your security and victories (alliance) to her makes both sides feel bad. There is no victory for anyone here but her alone.
Which is probably just how they want it, player pride in their side apparently being unimportant.

OP wouldn’t know a fistbump even if it was aimed at their face.:facepunch:

The war the alliance didn’t start? Doesn’t appear to want to be in? Win that war?

Oh, I’ve noticed the devs punching night elves in the face plenty of times this expansion. It would be hard to understand that as a dev favorite.

I’d love to hear some explanation on this. This was true in Mists, where we tried to save the horde from destroying a piece of Azeroth, failed, and then cleaned up their mess. I do not see this in BFA. If you are talking about the Thrall/Saurfang teamup, then trying to use any and all resources to depose someone who is literally killing your people left and right and RAISING THEM TO KILL YOU BETTER is not “saving the horde from it’s own stupidity,” it is survival
