What about the story makes you think that?
I don’t expect to see Illidan again until we we do the “Orderlands” xpac and we need the Titans to not be locked up.
Arthas would have been a bigger, better return but they turned him into 35 anima and didn’t even let Uther or Jania say a word about it, to him, or reflect. The Bae’she queen was important here.
But it is clear we will get a Patch/exp with Illidan/Sarg teamed up / bros for life for the void lords story.

Well, Malfurion is out of the picture for a while. Illidan can swoop in and be a shoulder to cry on for Tyrande.
His time has finally come, and he’s no where to be seen. Clearly not prepared.

When they go for the 4.0 version of the legion story, and they pretend they arent retconning 30% of it.

Have Arthas Sylvanas an Anduin form an order called Return of the Damned. An Arthas/Anduin lead it with Uther/Sylvanas as council.

Jokes aside there is constantly very simply ways to boost a great story for a comeback character, they keep missing. Also WHY is Alexatraza catching L’s every fight shes suppose to be a Leader/powerhouse how is a 20k yr old Stasis Dragon stronger.
They’ll retcon him just you wait. Then they’ll retcon Sylvanas all the same.
Dragonflight’s hodgepodge story is a clear indicator this game will never have a solid story with character/world building. It’s always going to be scrap notes thrown at you with sudden revelations.
Not that I care. I like the game for the gameplay. If I wanted to play a game with a good story I wouldn’t and I’d go read Adrian Tchaikovsky’s Children of Time again.
A lot of you are not prepared.
