So when do Alliance actually get a victory?

its taken a long time but when is gnomergan going to be reclaimed completely to become a new alliance city

Conversely, decided that there HAS to be something deeply wrong with the Light is YOU projecting your hatred of organized, modern religion into a video game.

Which is the main issue I take with people such as yourself who want the Army of Light and Turalyon to be these big bad boogeymem zealots without an ounce of nuance or interesting storytelling. You show that you just want something to focus your real life hatred on

Or I just recognize that if the sparkle snowflake angels are actually Devils in disguise I should probably be careful about trusting them. :woman_shrugging:t2:

Likewise, if the near forced conversion of Illidan didn’t make you ask questions, maybe you’re just a bit too trusting of anyone claiming to be “holy”.

I’ll be sure not to rescue you from stormwind if turalyon starts killing folks, I guess. Lol

I pretty clearly outlined what my issue with the potential plotline is (Blizzard’s ability to tell a nuanced and balanced story about it) and you haven’t responded to it at all lol

It would be easier to care about the orcs if they weren’t marauding slaughter bands of genocidal slavers to begin with.

So it’s not an unreasonable opinion that orcs getting a light lobotomy is good for all their neighbors.

Actually if you reread my original response I actually agree with you that blizzard may not actually be able to handle that level of writing.

But you just had to get mad about the fact that I don’t trust “the light”. Lol

Probably when Humans stop leading the Alliance. ‘Laughs’

The Naaru are absolutely never problematic especially when they take people and force them to convert or die, turning people into mind slaves, with the full knowledge that one day they will run out of Holy light and turn into void creatures and devour everyone.

:woman_shrugging:t2:

But sure the sparkle snowflakes are definitely not a problem.

The people who write the books know more about the lore than those who write for the game.

Remember in BFA the siege of lordaeron.

Anduin had zero prep for the plague, something the alliance has known about at least as far back as wotlk.
How about the fact that we didn’t use siege engines or artillery, the massive air force with the spaceship, or the mole machines.

This is the problem with the faction war nonsense.
Horde is the aggressor and is the focal point of the story, the alliance is pushed off to the side and is basically a shield taking a beating from the horde.
The horde then implodes on itself due to inner politics, and the alliance being the good guys say " okay but don’t do it again!".

In the end the horde wins most of the battles (bfa being less slanted), and the alliance wins the war because the horde punches itself in the face.
It’s a unsatisfying ending for both factions.

The orcs enslaved their own kind and genocide their neighbors. Civilizing the orcs with a touch of light seems less drastic than the full annihilation they offered everyone else when they got the chance.

Source this for me that they are slaves. You full on are making assumptions about people being enslaved by the light. One orc calling someone else “lightbound” hardly means anything accept his opinion of what happens to the other person.

Even void infused beings are not necessary slaves. Endless wispers and thousands of possibilities all at once drives them insane but doesn’t outright make them slave.

Just being in alignment with a cosmic force doesn’t enlsave someone to it in wow. Unless druids are slaves to nature, and shaman to elements. You’re marking strong and not well founded assumptions.

You don’t mention Blizzard’s writing ability at all

Yeah. I did say it.

You endlessly being wrong about the light will lead to more surprises for you, I guess.

Be more angry about it.

Orcs being Orcs doesn’t bother me. That’s their deal. Not my job to judge. My morals don’t get applied here. Humans in stormwind have a slave class too. “Yes m’lord” is no different than “zugzug”. I suppose you don’t realize that the whole Westfall/Deadlines subplot is about addressing some of that issue, right?

Some outsider walking in and saying “you all need to convert or die” is an issue. If it wasn’t an issue Illidan would be light forged. The maghar would be converted.

But it is wrong and the lore of WoW says it is wrong.

Just like they said that it was wrong that the kings of stormwind never paid their stone masons.

That’s what the Alliance was created to do. Lose.

Working as intended.

Victory to the Horde.

that’s the neat thing, they don’t
