So when do Alliance actually get a victory?

I do have to agree, the Alliance is never really ever SHOWN having any major victories. It’s always off-screen or implied victory. To me, it more reinforces the notion that the devs see the Alliance as boring, and all the creative energy goes towards the Horde. I think comparing Mechagnomes to the Vulpera is a pretty irrefutable example of that.

Having said that, I don’t necessarily need “some big win for my faction-pride” or anything like that. If anything, I’m actually hoping we can move towards a world (of Warcraft!) without a hard faction divide like we have now.

The greater issue, for me, is simply that the Alliance is just so bloody boring.

I feel like there ought to be more internal strife within the Alliance. After all, every race of the Horde is supposed to swear loyalty SOLELY to the Warchief (even if that’s currently on-ice, for some reason… which I think also undermines what makes them cool, as well), whereas the Alliance was always a faction of equals.

Night Elves have gotten boned a whole lot in recent years, it would be nice for them to maybe start rocking the boat a little more within the Alliance. Tyrande being like “you guys have been literally zero help to our people, maybe we should pack up our toys and leave?”, just introducing more wrinkles to the Alliance, so it doesn’t just feel like “the Human military of WoW”.

All the devs have been pumping up Sylvanas for years now and putting all focus into her and even putting out a Sylvanas statue and a Thrall one too that is even bigger. And they have zero big Alliance model things like that and then Blizzard acts surprised when everyone starts playing Hore when that is all they have promoted for the last half a decade.

If they had done the same with Alliance, then Alliance would be the faction that greatly won over the Horde in game play.

Didn’t the Alliance win a big battle in BFA?

Whelp, you got me. I assumed this was Korrak’s Revenge-related.

That was only in the lore that Blizzard wrote. But in actual gameplay the Horde did better in keys, in raids, in rbgs, in arenas.

Horde steamrolled the Alliance big time in every way. Top 19 out of the top 20 servers are all Horde dominated or at least they were last time I checked.

Illidan has 45,000 Horde to less than 900 Alliance for an example.

And its not based on gameplay of the races. Ally races are way more OP in Classic and they were the top class original Wrath. Now it is almost all Horde dominated too.

King Llyane. Uther. We need charters like that again. Or have Cenerious come back to lead Alliance. Blizz puts all effort into making Horde as good as they can and ignore the Alliance completely.

Let’s count them.

  • First Ashenvale offensive in Wolfheart repelled with the help of Varian and Genn.
  • Camp Taurajo razed/burned down.
  • Siege of Orgrimmar when Varian had the final word and threatened the Horde with destruction if they ever raise up arms again.
  • Battle of Lordaeron. The Forsaken were driven out of their own home.
  • both warfronts. Horde has no more presence in northern Kalimdor and Eastern Lordaeron when the alliance took Arathi.
  • Battle of Zandalar. Rastakhan died, the fleet was sunken and the treasury plundered.
  • meeting of Nordrassil. Tyrande dominates the Horde deligation and threatens them to burn their entire faction until Sylvanas is captured.
  • Mor’shan rampart was taken by the night elves.
  • Occupation of southern barrens with a permanent foothold in the form of Northwatch which was a violation of the first peace treaty when Thrall was still warchief.
  • battle of the temple of the red crane. Varian and Tyrande oust the Horde garrison and give the place back to the august celestial.
  • Second siege of Orgrimmar. Saurfang dies and not a single alliance soldier is harmed as they are allowed to depart without further violence.
  • not to mention that half of Silverpine and Hillsbrad is now under their control too.

No way the Horde holds any water against so much victory. The Alliance is favored by Blizzard. Accept that and check your privilige.

Your achievements say otherwise.

My first character was a night elf druid. I switched to Horde when blood elves came out.

How about we let bygones be bygones and just let it all go?

I will not let it go until we get some parity.

No you didn’t, achievements are account-wide. You don’t even have Legacy achievements from…any date.

Blood Elves were the reason I was in Horde as well. Now that Void Elves are here I’m going to Alliance for DF.

Probably did what I did and deleted his character before achievements became account-wide.

Yea, I got a bit of a story with Kaz here and it ends with I was young and supremely stupid, now I’m old and still stupid.

Do you need to what with Cross-faction being a thing?

Does not matter, you can still see achievements from other characters you play later on. OP literally does not play this game.

Ah, well. Sorry.

I will never play alliance. I will fight against them until Blizzard is willing to delete them.

And should they get deleted, what then?

No I don’t need to but I like the change. This way I get to hang out in Stormwind and level in the Alliance zones. I’ve done Quel’Thalas so many times I see it in my dreams.

Imagine staying subbed just to complain in the forums about a video game you never played.

Then the Horde can finally be in the spotlight for the neutral story against the big bad guy. An opportunity we get stripped of every time since the Argus patch.
