So when are you banning the WTS raid people?

Unfortunately can’t post images, but is ridiculous that there’s 25 “WTS normal raids” posted in premade groups, and not a single legit pug…

When you report them and the hacks team puts together all the info they need then does a mass ban, only for them to pop back up tenfold, because they find ways around it.

I can top that

Was trying to do a key the other day and I had 12 actual groups and 42 WTS Ads

The worst part is I couldn’t even report them all because Blizzard puts a cap on reports. So I was forced to sift through ads to find an actual group

At this point Blizzard is just being lazy. They have the resources to stop it and they don’t

Are they making real world money? If not, isn’t this just another way to earn gold? Who does it hurt?

If MicroBlizz were serious about this kind of behavior, they’d already have deployed either their own bots (RPA) or AI to take care of it. It would not be difficult to deploy, but in my opinion, they are just giving it lip service.

They are allowed to advertise, but not in the LFG channel/finder. It is to be done in the service channel. Advertising in the LFG channel/finder is against TOS, and therefore, it hurts others by clogging things up.

I see the ads ever so often in chat, but it doesn’t seem to be “clogging things up”, because there is just as much inane conversation going on as usual. I pay very little attention to it. The ads being all caps are the only reason I notice them.

We are talking in the tool (finder). There are tons of WTS nonsense in there clogging things up. Service channel - I don’t care about I have it turned off and never turned on unless I need something and then turned off again after.

You can filter by rating, put 1 as the minimum m+ rating and they all go away, unfortunately can’t do it for raid groups.

Until Blizzard stops allowing Level 60 and Level 70 toons from posting Mythic and Mythic+ groups, it’ll continue in rampant form.

careful i pondered why they havent implemented something to fix this and someone yelled at me claiming i dont know anything about coding.

for raid groups just change the number of members to 2 in the premade group finder addon.

Yeah, really glad that the IO filter makes 99% of WTS ads go away for m+, though with how atrocious some groups have been this week, they might as well be advertising for peace of mind using boosting.

It would be super easy to code (imo) The person(s) who told you that are either amateur developers or arm chair wanna be developers because they stayed in a Holiday Inn Express

It is just technically impossible for an organization as small as Blizzard/Microsoft to come up with a streamlined solution so such a complicated problem. After all, how could one possibly implement some sort of agent that monitors LFG for bot or illicit sales advertisements. It’s not like those posts follow the exact same format and have almost identical text…

It hurts my face when it gets critically hit by a wall of WTS ads while I’m trying to find a pug.

Again, World Quest Tracker.

I see one or two a day.

They just don’t care… They don’t wanna come out and say it… It is just all lip service because why? They are not the ones that have to deal with it.

If the executives and higher management had to deal with it every single day, then they would do something about it, but they don’t so they won’t And that’s how it works

The player response? To say that talking about it is causing people to think Blizzard does nothing so they stop reporting them.

Then to suggest you use an addon that hides them, telling you that they themselves have stopped reporting them.

Was like this in Sl and Dragon flight. Truth is theres nothing blizzard can do with the current method.

Players need to stop paying for those services.
