So when are we getting punishment for leavers ? on m+

This is getting ridiculous now heres my experience so far on m + :

1- start a dungeon all is good , someone pulls some mobs somehow mobs are casting their skills 2 mobs get interrupted third one doesn’t , we managed to clear the wave , then healer says we suck this is not going anywhere and leaves the dungeon ruins my key.

2- give it another try all goes well in the key, second boss kills a dps , bress him all is good we kill the boss , dps that died claims healer sucks cuz he died even tho he was standing on stuff leaves ruins my key yet again.

3-SBG guy steps on a tomb on second boss dps gets tilted and his sociopathic nature gets triggered , cusses everyone leaves bricks key , i pm him asking him why ? we could of complete under timer . he replies what are you gonna do about it ? its not reportable i can just join another key easily theres no punishment.

there has to be some sort of punishment for leavers , league does it you lose elo , maybe lose a big chunk of rating and cant earn rating for a few hours repeating the offense increases it to days and weeks account wide .

so far the best feedback ive seeing in this thread is make it so theres a way to track leaves and kicks for players that way maybe we can be more careful of who we invite , either by addon or by a site , this information might be a gamechanger.

Last I checked, chronic quitting actually does affect your io score.

Comparing a MoBA to WoW is hilarious. There is no competition as an average player in M+. Solution is to find and play with players you know wont leave. By pugging you are taking that risk and no one is obligated to stay.

Some people are toxic and leave at the start of a key. But we should not be penalizing people who don’t want to be stuck in a +15 for an hour and a half trying to brute force the key with people that are under geared.

Sometimes leaving a key is warranted, and you aren’t owed an explanation. It sucks, sorry your key dropped a level, push forward and move on with the next group.

That’s the nature of player formed group content.

M+ is not matchmade or queued content like LoL. It does not function as an MMR. It does not go down. It can never go down.

The solution is to be more picky who you invite to your group. You can’t hold people hostage in your key.

With how mean players are to one another most of the leaves and quitters is from the other players bullying anyways why should you be rewarded for being toxic lol

Most of the Toxic players I’ve encountered have been from the OP server. One bad pull and they start ripping into others. I guess everyone is suppose to be MDI players IDK. haha

Best thing to do is ask for ppl’s Bnet if you have a good group of people. Send them a /W and say they did awesome and exchange info. When you log on say, “hey” to everyone and ask if they need help w/ any keys.

Being nice goes along way. :wink: Sooner or later you’ll have more then enough friends to skip the pug-life.

Any punishment you implement will just add minutes of toxicity and won’t result in the key getting finished anyway.

When someone decides to leave, the key is over. All you’re doing with your suggestions is adding more time for the situation to fester. Punished for leaving ? Fine, let’s wipe until YOU leave instead and take the punishment, I’ll just start accelerating pulls some. Or let’s do a Details! review to see all the times you made big mistakes. Or let’s start a review of the tank’s route and how inefficient it is.

Anything but finishing the key. Because the goal is aggravating you now.

I’ll take leavers anyday over the toxic swamp punishments would create.

the whole point is to rehab these toxic players , its easy really , give them a debuff that will keep em from being invited by anyone who doesnt have the debuff , make em queue with leavers for 5 dungeons with no rate or no loot , hell add that to a debuff that will just get worse the more you leave , cant queue on lfrs or cant be invited on m + till reset , he does it again boom again he will have to wait on that account untill next reset .

we gotta fight toxicity leavers need to be punished.

It does in the sense that if you chronically leave leave too often your score won’t go up.

No, your whole point is you want people punished without any actual thought to the consequences. You want retribution against a perceived slight, with no deeper analysis than “I was annoyed and want the person I was annoyed by punished”.

That mindset is what is toxic and needs reform.

So like I said : peeps won’t leave, they’ll make you leave and then you’ll have wasted an extra 5-10 minutes and on top of it will be debuffed. How is this better than just having the guy leave ?

M+ isn’t a queue.

With more toxicity ? Hell no, if anything we need to fight people like you so you stop spamming the forums.

Lol, no, it doesn’t. I run keys all the time and chronic quitting is just something I don’t see very often. People that come here to post about it are outliers.

the amount of threads pointing out how bad m + is due toxic leavers says otherwise , punishment should be implemented every single game has it , its the only way to control the toxicity a bit rating matters if you lose enough rating you cant upgrade gears with valor .
and lets stop pretending m + is not competitive because it is.
