there is a reason I played this game on pve servers and then with WM off. it’s really ruined the prepatch for me.
This is fun™. Do you not recognize fun™?
You do realise pve server had flagging system and it would be the same
Haven’t seen this thread before.
I certainly recognize the “F” & “U”.
the point is I should never be involuntarily made to pvp.
OP has the perfect haircut for one of these threads.
Again though, didn’t they say it would be opt-in? It’s not really opt in if you’re auto flagged for PVP now is it? I actually agree with the OP based on that alone.
I swear people act like a Horde raid is gonna drop on their heads the second they flag for PVP. Like how dense are you people?
The whole point of contention is that people are zoning in and getting mobbed by Ghouls because you get auto-flagged in capital cities so are open to being attacked. Which defeats what they said previously that to avoid griefing like with the Wrath version this would be opt-in and you could only be affected if you flagged for PVP. Then they turn around and automatically flag you??
you’re not entitled to that
I kinda am. this isn’t a pvp game by default. in fact under normal circumstances you have to jump through hoops to enable pvp.
So what’s with yet another thread about this? There are lots of other existing threads about this very topic that you could have contributed to…
show me that in ToS
Need a hug?
the more threads the better.
the tos is meaningless, and does not define actual game play, only your access to it.
You mean pveing against the super pathetic zombies?
ok. so what’s my solution, i’m level 10, i die instantly every rez. I can’t quest or level where I want, what am I to do besides not play? my fun is ruined for someone else’s.
No, it’s just spam then.
Type /pvp as a ghost and wait 5 minutes. Players can’t kill you now, only NPCs can.
I personally don’t mind it, it’s a short event, and very easy to avoid. Even if you do get caught, so what?
I can see why some people might not care for it, but the hyperbolic drama around the issue has been a real pearl clutcher.
Maybe people will have a little more empathy the next time PvP’ers complain about having to do PvE (which is actually mandatory if you want to PvP, and requires a huge investment of time).
It’s actually pretty hard to have much empathy for a community that has been largely jerks when people complained about having to PvE so much to participate in PvP. It’s pretty easy to see why PvP’ers get a chuckle out of this. The disparity in how much content you don’t want to participate in is monumental.
