So, what's the deal with cooking?

At the start of the expansion it looked complicated and interesting so I leveled it, along with fishing, with enthusiasm.

After a while it became apparent that

#1, 99% of the time selling cooked food was a money loser vs just selling the ingredients on the AH

#2, Blizzard was going to throw a bunch of free food at me that was good enough for most activities

So now I don’t do anything with cooking.

Am I missing something?

Nope, all crafting is merely a hobby. Like needlepoint, but not as useful.

Well Blacksmithing is massive, I can craft better gear than anything except Myth track.

But Cooking seems to have no purpose as far as I can tell unless you’re crafting Feasts, which most of us, are not doing

Beladar’s bounty is very much the only food I cook when I am not making feasts. I miss my flavor pockets TBH… Hearty food feels way too much like throwing food out the window.

Just wait until you start leveling cooking only to remember that Earthen cannot consume food. DOH!!!

Beledar’s Bounty is quite literally the only food I make. I’ve said it for a while now that they need to tweak cooking a bit, particularly with the material requirements.
