I’m betting the first WoW classic Blizzcon in-game reward will be Murky. That pet alone would get a TON of virtual ticket sales and Blizzard obviously knows that too.
I too would buy that in a heartbeat if they give us Murky.

Would not surprise me in the slightest. Next year I expect mounts and in-game shop for real money, then the tokens implemented.
I really hope not, but if Classic is successful, I can picture Activision/Blizzard execs chomping at the bit to monetize the bejesus out of this.

Also if that’s the case, they wouldn’t have reused the old Murky pet audio for recent Blizzcon pets like Knight-Captain/Legionnaire Murky or Murkidan

99% sure there will be no Classic in-game rewards. They said they didn’t want to do them, at the Dev Interviews.

I saw on MMO-Champion some months ago that they said there will be no microtransactions at first, I’d be very, very surprised if Activision is 100% okay with Blizzard not adding some monetization in WoW classic in some way other than game time.

The only services they were considering to add were Character Transfers since they were in Vanilla.

I think customization (and name) changes will be added. I can see not allowing race/faction changes. But I would be shocked if after a year you cannot pay to change your face/hair and name.

Barbershop changes, sure. Name change will damage the ability for communities to identify their bad actors. Unless you’re changing realms you shouldn’t be allowed to name change.
I would absolutely love murky and it would definitely get me buying the ticket… Last time was the first time I have skipped due to the lackluster rewards.
I don’t have a problem with them giving us a chance to get/earn things that were originally in Classic and don’t really see why anyone would, but I wouldn’t want to see anything new on this version of Classic. (If they chose to do Classic+ servers with more content then that is a whole different convo)
