Endgame campaign is always gated. Hopefully the quests make sense of the waiting, like a quest that ends with “Yo we’re exploring all of Azeroth now, after thousands of years of isolation”. If it doesn’t go that path, I’ll agree it’s just a time gate for the sake of being one.
No it doesn’t. It’s garbage. Stephen Hawkings robot voice is better.

People really getting mad because they can’t unlock Earthen for all of < checks calendar > 7 days?
I mean, come on. This is being genuinely silly.
No one enjoys threads after threads of people rushing through content and complain they’re bored.
Blizzard is a subsidiary/division of Activision/Blizzard which is a subsidiary of Microsoft Gaming which is a division of Microsoft corporation. Microsoft has stock holders (i.e owners).
Everything that everyone dose in Microsoft and it’s subsidiaries and divisions, like every other company, is done for one reason and one reason only. Making money to keep the owners happy. In this case it would be Microsoft stock holders.
I suspect it’s so that Early Access people wouldn’t be able to create one right at release. Everyone will have a chance to start a new Earthen when the unlock allows, if they’re dedicated enough.

Oh yeah big time, I was 80 on 2nd day of playing, was done with the available campaign quests day one of them being released. 8 days is way enough time to catch up.
Let em, you can ignore them. I can’t ignore the fact that I either don’t play this week or give up on playing earthen as my main
It’s still gonna be tight even if it was released today. Season starts in 2 weeks. Depends how dedicated you are to having it as a main I guess.
I haven’t checked at all on class and racials it has though.
Because blizzard has continually and more often got in to the habit of just lying to players about what they will get when they spend money.
If they had came out and said “earthen not available, rated not enabled, no mythic dungeons, no raid until September 3rd and onward” their sales would’ve plummeted.
So they lied.
Only classes it can’t be are dk, Druid, and dh, racial don’t really matter honestly, but they don’t need to eat as one lol
And this week is tight, next week is near impossible
