So what was the easymode classes of Vanilla

I honestly can’t remember. I was to much of a dilettante.

It depends on what you mean.

As far as faceroll leveling goes it’s hard to beat a hunter. But Hunters also have one of the higher skill ceilings.

In endgame raid DPS I found Mages to be very easy to play while achieving good results.

The core gameplay of a Paladin is very simple but there is a significant support toolkit to manage.

Nothing beats the power of a fully geared warrior with a pocket healer in PVP. And they are the best tanks. But achieving that level of power is not so easy.

Depends on what area of the game.

Hunters are very easy to level, but become much harder at max level to play to a very good level.

Paladins are generally not that difficult at leveling or at healing at max level, and the hardest part of playing a non healer is understanding how to build the character right. Though being able to properly support your team in PvP is a bit trickier.

Most classes aren’t too hard to play as a basic degree or while leveling, but get trickier as you learn how to properly utilize their full kit.

what? hunters were not hard to play pvp wise in classic…

Hunter. Lock.

Hunters in PvE were harder to get maximum DPS out of because it required knowing how to weave Aimed Shot in between your auto shots.

PvP wise it’s mostly just a lot of keybinds, and knowing how to jump shot.

Balance druids can mow through most classes with ease.

Hunter is definately #1 i was noob as hell when i started and somehow got to lvl 47 with terrible gameplay. Lock is next due to pet. Raiding wise i mean you pick a class everyone needs Warrior Tank priest heals etc

Requires some seriously high end play, but very possible.

Mage for PvE and mage for PvP, they quite literally have a counter for every other class in pvp. And they are a one button nuker in pve with near infinite mana.

Frost mage in MC/BWL. All you’ll be doing is spamming frostbolt and no other abilities

Hunter and Warlock

Hunter and lock kill much easier. Although they have higher skill ceilings as well.

Mage has portals, easy cc in dungeons(and get invites on the reg because of said CC), do well in pvp, plus free food and drink. Also Ice block, can’t forget that.

Classic was easy, it just took longer for most things.

Hunters and warlocks. I got both to 60 in vanilla, then tried a warrior for a change of pace and it was like night and day.

Warlocks were relatively underrepresented back in Vanilla so not many know how fantastic they were to level. Hunters were great too, don’t get me wrong, but warlocks had lots of extra tools in their kit to make the experience easier, particularly healthstones, soul shards, siphon life/drain life and the ability to heal their pet through health funnel while in combat. Four utensiles that saved so much time and allowed creative tactics to solo elite quests that would normally take a group of 2-3.

An Affliction lock + wand + siphon life/drain life/bandages + voidwalker + soul shard = smoothest levelling experience I’ve ever had.

Now if you layer PVE/PVP server on top of that, the dynamics are changed, as Ally locks levelling in the presence of UD rogue gankers changes the game. But on a macro level, those two classes are the easiest, with Warlocks being one foot further than hunters in my opinion and experience.

Druids were a secret powerhouse in pvp that were extremely misunderstood due to their versatility and variety. For me, figuring them out wasn’t really difficult, but I noticed alot of people that ran around and just healed with them, but couldn’t fight for crap, so that’s why I came to the conclusion they must of been enigmatic to many players.

The biggest annoying part about druids was some of their wildshape quests, if I remember right the aquatic form was a pain in the butt. (Though, I know other classes like warlocks, shamans and pally had to endure equal or worse class ability questing at different points too.)
