Survival-Changes to survival are sad, they make me really sad because they boast about how survival is their niche class that they are proud of yet its the 2nd worst spec in the game next to sub rogue. They NEEED to make mongoose bite mandatory, the spec feels terrible without it. I don’t understand why they would make such an essential ability a talent, either that or rework raptor strike because its not cutting it boss.

So you say the changes are bad but didn’t reference any of them.

While I do think Mongoose bite should be baseline, its difficult to say that it performs poorly without it. By all accounts if your haste is low then Tip of the spear with Alpha Predator Will net better results. So At least while leveling, or gearing up, Mongoose bite doesn’t perform well.

THis isn’t legion where we had charges of it for free, they cost focus and currently it can be easier to buff Raptor strike with Kill Commands than it is to get enough focus to get off multiple 5 stack mongoose bites which is what is needed in order for it to out perform tip of the spear.

The problem with SV is their dependency on haste and kill command and the lack of overall baseline interaction with their abilities. Wilderness Survival is going away in SL which is a problem because that is a passive that adds much needed flow to SV’s rotation. This needs to stay

Serpent spread has to be talented into (hydra’s bite) and even then isn’t as good as previous iterations. This Needs to be baseline.

Coordinated assault our biggest damage cool down is a BM rip off both visually and in effect and only interacts interestingly with kill command, yet another BM rip off. This needs to be changed to give free Raptor strikes, carves, Mongoose bites and needs to be graphically updated.

SV does have issues and does need changes but they are much bigger than just Mongoose bite imo.

I respect you, you are probably a more experienced player than me when it comes to survival. My main gripe with you is your stance on mongoose bite, I understand some people don’t like the playstyle of that ability. Raptor strike is just a focus spender with underwhelming damage, I feel like most abilities synergize better with mongoose bite as opposed to raptor strike. That last statement is my opinion.

Maybe they can rework raptor strike and eliminate the need for mongoose bite. Mongoose bite is the most requested thing on this forum to be baseline, its just taking up a talent slot that could be used by another possibly better ability.

I am trying to find Survival hunters BETA feedback otherthan the blue post. IS anyone providing feedback??? Legendaries are extremely boring???
