angry Trooper noises an smacking sith in the face
see’s your stock strike and gives you a back hand…which hits harder. and more satisfying
shall still shame the sithy boi for being a Sith warrior and getting a run for his money against a normie trooper
looks at all the special gear the Trooper gets
You ser are anything but a “normie”
Mandalorians would be low key jealous at the toys you get.
sweats nervously since my Trooper is actually a Mandalorion who defected RP wise
I took this out because I’m adding more and using it elsewhere //
While WoW is my main game, I rotate a lot with MMos whenever new content comes out or just to get a new fix of a game to play.
Blade and Soul, Black Desert, Swtor, FF14 are my go to-s with occasionaly(IE: rarely) Secret World.
Destiny I’d call MMO lite but until the recent New Light update, I was mainly on console(PS4). Now that I can migrate to PC, I may do that a bit more down the road.
I may just take you up on that. I’ve been feeling the itch for SWTOR lately, and if I do a Jedi, I pretty much have to roll another agent…
Yessss. . . give in to your feelings. . .
Ok I’m thinking about dusting off my swtor myself especially since I found out you can romance the big monster dude which is hilarious. Blood sacrifices are so romantic.
Really wish my circle of friends could do SWTOR. I really enjoyed playing both a Sith Warrior and Republic Trooper, but for some reason my friends think Star Wars is too nerd and sci fi is lame. I’ve had some of the best RP there.
That being said, final fantasy is a bit too anime for me so I guess I can understand it.
So I guess it’s ESO when our group decides to pull the plug. Most of us are disgusted with what happened, but a few are nervous about leaving the only RP world they’ve ever done, and we don’t want to split up.
Bless their little hearts but they’re trying to absolve that right now, if you haven’t been keeping up with their development. Unfortunately as is often the case in a massive, sprawling behemoth genre it comes across as either a massive overbuff of X mechanic or a huge jackbooted nerf of Y mechanic.
That said, I think over every patch iteration they’re getting a little bit closer. Outside of extremely niche abilities like not being able to tank without Puncture Armor in the 1H/S tree I’m starting to see more builds roll off the “guide to” assembly line that are actually mostly class abilities rather than the usual assortment of neutral weapon / guild skills.
I found pretty early on as I revisited forums and quest posts on the Unofficial Elder Scrolls Pages when I felt I made the “wrong” decision that it turns out there often wasn’t a “right” decision just a… “Which one can you personally justify more” decision.
After that point I just started playing to what I perceived was my character’s personality and morality. Yes, in an MMO. And it was rewarded with choices!
I kept the ancient artifact of soul sucking absolute destruction that should never be held by mortal hands again, and I delivered it to the Covenant. Years of content later and there’s still NPCs that will make snide comments to me.
There’s very little in the way of walk up RP and I’ll cite this often as one of ESO’s failings. Despite being surrounded more often by people who actually went out of their way to make a canon-plausible name rather than “The-Lizard-Of-Oz” most RP seems to be scheduled.
I will say my fondest memory of SWTOR was as a Sith Warrior, just walking into a room of bickering Imperial officers and just Force Choking the lot of them.
Now THATS how you do #class-fantasy
On a more appropriate note in relation to the thread topic, I recently re-downloaded GW2 against my better judgement (I have not played seriously since 2015 and left a lot of old memories there). It’s very strange and empty outside of Lion’s Arch, but still as beautiful as I remembered it. I made a new sylvari to test the old waters and it’s been okay, besides the temptation to tap into my trove of auto-level scrolls.
If anyone plays on Tarnished Coast please hit me up. It’s super lonely and I can only tolerate a couple hours of gameplay without friends before I start crawling back to WoW.
Final Fantasy XIV is really fun, and Shadowbringers has been an amazing expansion so far.
Yeah, that’s the biggest thing that’s making me sad about quitting WoW, even if I don’t talk to forum folks on a regular basis, it’s been nice to see y’all out in the world from time to time.
Someone on another thread mentioned having a Cross-World Linkshell for those of us on XIV.
A guild in ESO wouldn’t be a bad idea either, I believe you can join multiple guilds there.
You can join up to five guilds in ESO. Though one caveat for people who spread characters across guilds - you join guilds in ESO as your account, not on a per character basis.
ESO had gotten a little better about class identity with the new classes.
I really appreciate that I can morph newrly all the dps abilities into either magicka or stamina varients
