I’m just wondering
She basically told him he should die and be forgotten forever because he was so bad and killed so many
Then in the same breath admits she became exactly like him, and yet still looks down her nose at him like she somehow doesn’t deserve the same
I just… I …. What? Did I miss something?

Apparently deleting Arthas was the only way to make Sylvanas shine.
Not a good trade.

Her accepting what she was doing was terrible and she should face judgement, but nothing big.

Arthas never got to get to the point where he could accept what he did was wrong and atone.
Because Uther tossed him into the Maw, and he got turned into anima jello and was consigned to oblivion, which is a fate worse than death.
He should have been made to go to revendreth, and actually atone for his crimes.

People always get their panties in a twist when I say it… but others have said it plenty, too!
Things would play out a lot different if the genders were flipped.

Arthas died for what he did
Sylvanas is being forgiven
Its not hard to figure out why people are irritated that sylvanas LITERALLY burned children alive because an elf hurt her feelings… but because she has bi-polar disorder we are just going to all forget she did anything

The guy was doomed by fate just because zovaal picked him to be the lich king.
The fact Uther isn’t punished at all for this either baffles me.

Hey now lets not drag bipolar folks into this. They got enough on their plate
Arthas the Paladin willingly pursued a path that brought about his ruin. Best way to spin it is he was goaded into doing stupid things for the sake of Lordaeron and retribution. Sylvanas the Ranger General was just trying to protect her people.
Arthas the DK/LK vs. Sylvanas the Banshee Queen? As desperate as they are to have this soul fragment simultaneously not rob her of agency but also absolve her of being irredeemable, it’s a load of crap. Arthas resisted the entity hellbent on dominating the entire universe. Sylvanas willingly served him because she was afraid of ending up in the Maw when she died.

Punished for what?
He was mislead by a damn Angel.
Anyone. Literally anyone. Would believe the words of a literal angel.
Yes. This wasn’t telling him off. She was getting closure on this baggage she has carried for 20 years. She was acknowledging that her hatred turned her into the same kind of monster as him, and that she is letting him go. “Be forgotten”, as in, “I’m done dwelling on you. I’m moving on and facing up for the things I’ve done.”

He still dropped Arthas into the maw. He didn’t even get a chance to try and seek redemption in Revendreth. Then he got tortured down into nothing but a weapon enchant.
Why do you think he would have gone to Revendreth? He wiped out entire kingdoms.
I still haven’t finished the Bastion quest lines but why was Arthas even in bastion?
Surely a soul like his would be in Revendreth or the maw right from the start
Do evil souls even get to go to bastion? Everyone there seems good
Ones just as bad as the other the only difference is the current WoW team wanted to turn Sylvannas back good. That is literally the only reason she will get away with it, they want her to get away with it.
Because that’s how the Shadowlands work. Revendreth is the last chance you get and if not, off to The Maw you go

He was never in Bastion. Uther and Devos snagged his soul and threw it into the maw before he got a chance to be judged by the Arbiter.

Arthas wasn’t in Bastion.
The Kyrian did not bring him to Oribos or the Arbiter for judgement. They skipped that, and Uther just chucked him in to the maw. For vengeance!

From my understanding Revendreth is a sort of “last ditch effort” to salvage an evil soul.
If the Venthyr can’t redeem them, no one can, and they get tossed into the Maw

Arthas wasn’t in bastion. Devos and Uther instead went to Icecrown and picked up his soul there
