So, what is considered an acceptable parse as DPS?

What exactly did you do by yourself?

Parse bad?

I guess you did do that?

I dont understand the point youre trying to make, you didnt do anything special, you parsed low…

Literally making a stance on something we arent even discussing rofl.

this just in: purple orange and pink parses are low.

anyway drinknblink what are you rerolling for wrath?

You need to actually READ your logs.

This is from your link.

Median Perf. Avg. 56.2

Thats your AVERAGE performance on all bosses in BWL that phase as a WHOLE.

You dont parse high on average, that doesnt mean you have NEVER parsed high a couple times, it means on AVERAGE when you killed a BWL boss in THAT PHASE you would parse a 56.

Im not sure what part youre confused about?

Nothing said about my average performance. I said I parsed high several times, without having to do any of the nonsense you did to achieve some 90s/99s. You changed the topic to my average because obv my median is going to be weighed down by the fire-immune bosses.

Your guild is lucky to have such a high parsing(56) player such as yourself on their roster.

kekw

damn looks like i touched a nerve. sorry drinknblink. i’m sure one day you might also log some high parses without consumables, raid/party comps, fotm specs, cheesing, and a raid full of tryhard sweaties doing all of the above. but going into a raid without all of that might be too scary for you!

Yeah i dont show up to be mediocre so i consume and show up as the right spec.

Thank god youre a gnome, a little lighter to carry for your raid group.

so you’re saying you’d be a mediocre player without all of that extra stuff? :face_with_hand_over_mouth:

Mediocre player to me means you show up to be carried, you show up to not perform.

You have to understand, he sees himself as a member of the NBA, not the dads pick up basketball at the rec center.

No i just dont think people should show up to raid and not perform the best they can.

Maybe thats fine with you, i show up for work to work.

unless you die there’s no reason you can’t parse 75+ on every fight just by playing your class correctly and having consumables, raid comp be damned

lol @ these people going “anything more than 50 is great!”

My personal parses usually suffer because I try to keep up totem twisting alongside my regular DPS rotation. The Melee DPS in my groups seem happy, however.

Funnily, I parse higher on Morogrim because I use Fire Nova Totem and swap to Magma Totem on the Murlocs and try to maintain WF and GoA and continue my regular dps rotation.

Very difficult in practice. My theory is most of the high parses on single-target fights aren’t totem twisting.

Haste pots are yuge

We stood around for 20 seconds after killing adds yesterday.

I could be wrong, but I don’t think DST is huge for feral.

If you’re doing the rotation correctly, twisting should not interfere with it.

I’d be shocked (haha) if every top shaman in a melee group isn’t twisting.

Warcraftlogs… which is where all this information is compiled is an inaccurate cancer fest. It gives ammunition to a player to attack another player over something they may or may not have control over. This whole mess started when elitist jerks started banging the drum over “parses” and the game went downhill from there. Why do you think average players fled this game? Because the general consensus was the community is becoming filled with jerks. Not because playing a game makes you elite… it does not. But because the only part of their website title that was correct was the JERK part…and they were right.

If you don’t know why WClogs is such a pile of hot trash… you’re probably one of many that follows it without questioning the validity of a parse. Yes… it’s going to show a lot of mistakes and detail a lot of numbers mainly when a DPS is allowed to stand still and turret because they’ve been afforded that luxury. If you however want to call this your end all source for information… here are some MINOR examples of why this site is a pile of trash ( and this is by no means complete):

A. tanks losing threat and causing displacement
B. raid member X causing raid member Y to die or be out of place
C. the debuffs provided by X class that are not added to the sim which if properly calculated would boost their DPS by a significant amount and yes… some are a lot more valuable than others depending on raid comp

No one cares anymore. They are going to other games that WHEN they have free time isn’t consumed with someone berating them over a “parse.” I don’t necessarily care how someone plays wow. Yes, they should care enough to play their role properly. But it’s not mine nor anyone else’s place to berate, demean or attack someone over. Anyone hanging their hat on a video game as a mark of accomplishment needs a reality check.

OMG Morogrim is the first time I had to use dark runes. Shaman rage into bubble doesnt help though.

Also if you are not sub-ele parses arent really a consideration.

You show up to a 15 year old video game full of 15 year old raids to work? Good for you if that is what your guild expects and agreed to when forming/recruiting.

Seems odd to apply those standards as if they are the norm.

All that’s ever mattered to me:

  • People show up on time and prepared
  • Relatively few deaths
  • Bosses go down
  • No fussiness in the chat

If the boss goes down faster, cool, but it’s not necessary. If mistakes get made, mistakes get made. Whatever.

I’ve experienced similar issues with Lurker, only because that fight can last up to 8-10 minutes and I often help the ranged by shooting Lightning Bolts if they’re getting a bit hammered.

We had a particularly poor comp in our Morogrim fight yesterday, but I ended up 4th on the meters due to AoE alone. My mana was shot, though, even before 50%

Not really… a lot of top DPS rogues raid with a second rogue with lower dps on IEA duty. The rogues with imp ea only have 10 or so dps from evis and rupture.
