Given that we have:
- No archaeology
- Professions mostly untouched outside of linear expansion
- Classes “unpruned” but little synergy between most unpruned skills and existing playstyles
- Mostly unchanged playstyles from Legion/BFA
- No new battleground
- Lacking class balance
- Bugs aplenty
- No new races
- No allied races
- No heritage armours
I wonder what the focus for the development team was? What do you think?

Isn’t a popular nickname for “Shadowlands” actually “Systemlands”?
Because they added in so many systems?

So you’re saying they focused on too many systems? And it took up all their development time?

Not just that but a 200 footer. Can’t show up in a 150 footer. The other boys will make fun.

Not necessarily. I also think many things you stated happen every expansion, and are just part of the cycle.
For example. Always bugs. Classes always imbalanced.
I would say playstyles have changed from Legion/BFA for many classes.
The bugs of this expansion are way more than the other ones. And that’s saying a lot since BFA was probably the most buggy expansion to launch.

I disagree. Feels about the same.

Not a link, but empirical evidence and looking into alpha-beta cycle to the game releasing would back me up.
Marketing the game by giving an illusion of a fun game and hyping the h*ck out of it.

Anecdotal but I dont remember any WQ being broken for 16 weeks straight in BFA. I don’t remember character animations bugging out/not firing, etc in other expansions.

Oh I forgot to add to the list - broken scaling.

Remember the A/B dev team argument? RIP.

I think they laid off the A team in the mass layoffs tbh.
(that’s a joke. before someone aCkShUaLlY’s me about how it was support team that got laid off, not devs
)
