So what are the secrets of farming on dead realms for open world content?

Plan to make a char or two on some dead realms to go for stuff that is never up on my more populated realms I play on. Is there any actual method to this or just pick the dead realm(s), and check the things? Should I be level 70 or do Chromie time shenanigans?

i would use a 70 toon and hit the areas and go from there no chromie time

Chromie time is scaled, I only use Chromie time and pause XP to do lore achievements.

People have thought of the same idea don’t expect things to be there when they are not on dead servers.

100% chromie time is the way to go.
So long as youre doing old old content and are in a future timeline above the level cap of the content youre farming.

I mean I hit 30, went to Deepholm and Aeonaxx was just vibin. Been going for that mount off and on for years and never knew it could’ve been this simple.

Isn’t Aeonaxx basically a world boss in CT? How you gonna solo that?

hit him really hard?

You’re best Phase is Chromie Time with War-Mode on.

That’s the least crowded phase you can get, probably on an RP server.

War mode. Vulpera to turn it off wherever you want. At least im p sure thats how it works.

Also chromie time is a seperate phase or shard or whatever. So like really old rares might be worth farming that way. Ive never really done that though.

War Mode on an RP server. RP servers only shard with other RP servers in War Mode, and RPers hate War Mode.

Each expansion has its own level bracket if youre not in that expansions chromie time.

Cata caps out at like level 45 or something.
So level up to 60+ or so in like bfa chromie time, go to deepholm, you’ll be in a chromie time phase but enemies will be low level.
One shot it, claim the prize.
