Doesn’t seem to be meaningful changes in 8.1 to help them out… I know druids need some love too, but I did enjoy Holy Priest back in Legion in arenas even and if they weren’t the best, they had pretty strong heals, a lot of immunity and very capable of a very good fight. Now it’s just… sad to look at the ladder, they are the least represented healers, and tanks are almost more popular. I think something should be done!!!
Are you trolling? Holy gets an 8 second AoE aura mastery, 65% hp spammable heal and a new defensive trait that can essentially offer a 70k undispellable shield on a 15 second cooldown in 8.1. They’ll be fine.

I’m worried it will be hard to cast a spell that takes 3 seconds in arenas… And you already wasted 2 pvp talents for this.
I am not worried at all. Many teams cannot afford to waste their kick on a healer.
Also, on PTR it’s 2.4 seconds with my current gears haste.

Where are you getting this 70k shield talk every 15 secs… which trait is that ? I just haven’t seen anything like that in patch notes is all
They’re getting a SPAMMABLE 100k heal on a 2.5s cast that basically costs no mana (3%)… If anything they were overbuffed.
It’ll be closer to 2.5 with their haste and if Fire Mages can get off their 4.5s Greater Pyros, you should be able to get off that heal no problem.
Heck, you can put down your new Concentration ability and squeeze out like 3 of those heals without being able to be interrupted.

I think that spell is dumb, but comparing a casted heal vs a casted damage spell is a bad idea. A fire Mage can run around trying to get it off over and over and over with no repercussions. A Priest does that and they’ll die.

Hpriests will be playing with Fire Mages and another caster (probably a 2nd fire mage lul). We all know this lol. So you either stop Gpyro, or Greater Heal, or Sheep, or Hex, or Chaos Bolt, or Cyclone, or or or or you get the idea. Either way you made the wrong choice and will lose because of it.

There are so many comps they can roll with that will give them free reign to cast it, especially with that 8s of uninterruptable casts talent they are getting. Will make teaming with casters like Mages/Boomkins/Locks EXTREMELY good.
Holy Priest with casters might be the new meta. Imagine Holy Priest/Fire Mage/Desto Lock team…holy crap, might as well just afk out at the start.
New leap of faith defensive trait. That with the leap PvP talent is a 15 second cd 70k absorb.
