So.. we have blizz polls

Why do that when they already know what ARs they want on Horde?

What if you really love something that isn’t popular by the masses? A poll such as that would alienate smaller fanbases and prop up more popular ones. Giving them tools to bully smaller fanbases. Just because something isn’t as popular, doesn’t mean it is a bad idea. I don’t think allied races should be decided based on popularity, but more so be based on the passion of the fanbase for them and what makes sense.

EDIT:
At the same time, just because something is popular doesn’t mean it is a good idea or should happen.

It’s disconcerting that even a small measure of determining consensus like this will be shouted down to oblivion like nearly every topic on here that isn’t high elves.

It’s no wonder GD is ignored by blizzard.

Can’t even agree to have a poll that determines disagreement lol.

Like any other topic I guess.
Some people are trolls. Some people are off topic. Some just play Devils advocate. All accomplish nothing.

You mean diaper gnomes were a bad idea? Add fat humans to that list.

It would also be nice if the Alliance stopped asking for Horde races.

But here we are.

High elves were always alliance, you can keep acting like they never were but it doesn’t make you any less wrong

They were never playable as alliance.

When I say “asking for Horde races” within context I am saying “asking for Horde playable races”.

And since we all know they were never a playable alliance race, you are asking for a horde playable race.

Nice try. We all know what I meant by the statement, but sometimes I forget how I have to spell things out as if I am talking to a 3rd grader because everyone is trying to get an out of context “gotcha” moment.

Don’t worry, I am sure there will be more threads about Trolls on the Alliance, light forged orcs, undead on the Alliance, etc. As is the norm.

Market research means nothing to them. Look at bfa. A few polls would have probably prevented a lot of the bad design. As for allied races, I just hope we have no more as they have really been a circus from the start.

Horde never had alliance high elves. Why do you think you own them? The entitlement is strong in this one.
But I’m not going to continue derailing this thread. Good job making it off-topic with your unnecessary remark about high elves. Maybe, just maybe, you’ll learn to get over it?

Huh. I can’t imagine myself spending any more time with my colleague after seeing them for more than 9 hours a day…

I never brought up high elves. You did.

Barely anyone actually votes in the forum polls to have it be used to actually implement. Well. Anything.

It’s intended more so as what NOT to implement.

Ok.

Not enough people vote to have any idea on what shouldn’t be implemented.

Why not on the Launcher?

I suppose opinions are opinions.
I think all of the Alliance races are pretty good. …even though I’ll never make a Kul Tiran.

The thing is, how long it takes to implement things as well. A fan vote would have to take place 1-2 years before something may be implemented. A lot can change in that time frame. A vote for implementing (or not implementing) vulpera or mechagnome would have had to taken place before we encountered them in game, before we even got to see the models. Before we got to see the storyline.

If there are any ARs planned for SL, they are already being worked on I am sure. So any vote for an SL AR would have to have taken place a while ago. Because of how typically the story is based around the AR.

Polls are weird in how easy they are to troll with. A poll like that would just get people to swarm something that no one really wants

This is actually a really good idea. I hope they add in optional polls like this into the forums and/or game more often. Don’t shove them down our throats or else people are going to give troll answers. Just put them somewhere in like the help tab of the game or make a new button for them, and let players know through the bnet client like with what they do with the previews. It’s just there in the front page but nothing in game forces you to click on something due to ocd (like with the essences and Azerite traits…)

Probably because they’d like to keep this close to the vest and traditional focus groups work about as well.

Boatymcboatface, for example. Or Brexit.
