So we cannot have Void Elf Paladins

But we can have Void Elf Priests. Sure, makes sense.

Some elf players… I swear…
All races will get all classes eventually. It’s not all about you.

We will eventually. They even gave us a void elf pally npc to reassure us.

They had a Void Elf “Knight of the Eclipse” who was using concencrate, so I’d argue they’re in the making with their own unique lore to help justify it — So it’s not a complete affront to the lore.

Adding it from the get-go with no explanation would be stupid.

I’d argue Void Elf priests were made a thing solely because of shadow-spec.
However them getting some lore explanation too would be nice.

… Alternatively, the Void Elves getting void-visuals for their ‘holy’ spells would be wicked too :star_struck: You could use the same case for the Lightforged Draenei with a light-spell visual towards their ‘shadow’ spells :dracthyr_nod:

I believe void paladins can exist, but instead of wielding light they would be wielding void. There are void Naru to fit the lore.

They said they’re going to eventually give everything to everyone when they get off their duffs and make new assets. There’s a void elf paladin in the Dark Heart questline and she uses the Light, because paladins who use the Void in the same manner as other paladins using the Light don’t exist, and an entire class isn’t being reskinned for one race.

We can have Menari Paladins, so void isn’t a stretch. Im fairly impatient too, but know they’re coming.

That’s because the holy spec doesn’t make sense either.

I have a problem with void elf even playing priest.

No, they still use the light, using Void would make no sense as a Paladin. The Void Elf Paladin NPC added this patch uses the light as she should.

void elf priests are effectively the exact same thing as forsaken priests.

They exist because one of the three specs is appropriate to exist, and it would be mechanically absurd to only allow the player to play the one spec that makes sense for those races.

It would be silly for void elves to be unable to be priests because priests have a shadow specialization and a void elf shadow priest is just obvious. But once you open that door, you can’t not allow discipline and holy. So those two additional specs just get brought along.

Does it make sense? Not a whole lot. Is it mechanically the best of the other option? Yes

Paladins don’t have a shadow specialization. There’s no real mechanical reason that void elves should be paladins.

That was a pure high elf converting into a void elf, so the light is possible to turn into a void visual instead of light.

Just make a blood elf paladin for crying out loud, with cross faction opened, just RP you’re alliance -.-

Yea this is correct. Learn to live with it idk.

There is no canonical void holy priest.

Void and light explode each other

That is literally not true. Forsaken Priests are canonically able to use Light magic/the light the Devs have said this several times. They just are in pain when doing so, but the entire point of being a priest/paladin is mental discipline and faith above all so :person_shrugging:

And apparently Void Elves are too considering Voidlight Everdawn and Aeonara, the Light using priest and paladin Void Elf NPCs added to Telogrus Rift this update.

She is a Void Elf using light magic/light spells. Because she is a Paladin. The end.

Figuratively or literally? Or just not true?

They are because the devs have inserted a few lines to justify it, but it’s still quite silly. I’m fairly confident in saying the devs would not have taken that route if forsaken shadow priests weren’t a thing, but of course that’s just my own speculation.

Wielding magic that causes high amounts of pain will always be disadvantageous relative to others who can wield the same amount of magic with no issue.

If you wanted to be a paladin, you simply wouldn’t have become a void elf. See: Turalyon, who is diametrically opposed to Alleria

It’s coming, be patient.

And since Priests that use the Void and the Light together are called Disco Priests, I’m gonna call Void Elf Paladins “Disco Knights”

If void elves couldn’t be priests, they could only have mistweaver monk as a healer.

Yet I can play a holy void elf and just, play the game normally somehow?
